HDMI 6FT by Efortcity does not work August 10, 2008 Bought this product 2 weeks ago and it does not work,I tested 2 and not of them work, I used it to connect my plasma TV to my fios stb box.
Works Great for me August 10, 2008 I was looking for some HDMI cables to connect my Tivo to my TV. I saw a wide range of prices for these cables ($5 - $100).
I'm not sure what the differences are between the cheap one and the expensive one. I decided to go with these cable b/c the price was cheap and according to the reviews, works just as well as the expensive one.
I rec'd them with no problem and the hook up was simple. The quality to me seems good but I don't have anything to really compare it too. Since I have never used the more expensive HDMI cable.
For me, these cables work fine and have no complaint.
Sturdy Cable August 5, 2008 I purchased this cable for attempting to play video on my laptop. Little did I know that my laptop was output only...
Regardless, this is a superb cable and is well built. When actually used as a video cable it performs great. Make sure you absolutely can deal with a 6ft cable though as it might be a pain in the future.
Cable Quality equal to higher priced ones August 4, 2008 IF you are looking for a great HDMI cable for a VERY VERY Good price you cannot go wrong with this one. I hooked it up today and the picture is just as good as the brand name ones. Definitely worth giving a try.
Not 1.3 HDMI as far as I can tell July 31, 2008 Ordered this cable and it came very quickly. I used it with some Samsung products and attempted to set up their Anynet network with a Samsung TV and a Samsung Home Theater set. HDMI 1.3 is required for Anynet. I could not get the TV to recognize the HT although ordinary features (sound and picture) worked fine with the cable. I ordered a more expensive cable that claims to be 1.3 compatible and sure enough I was instantly able to set up Anynet. My conclusion is that this cable is not 1.3 rated. If you just need HDMI and 1.3 is not important, the cable seems fine. If you need 1.3, steer clear of this cable.
