Poor battery life May 19, 2008 The mouse has to be charged every 3rd night, just cannot get to the fourth day
Logitech software finally as good as the mouse May 19, 2008 My last mouse was the Logitech MX 1000, and my 2 main gripes were that the middle mouse button was extremely hard to press (b/c is always clicked the tilt wheel) and the software was practically worthless. The MX Revolution fixed these problems, and logitech is on the way to making the perfect mouse. PROS: -Feels great in your hand (Right-Handed people only though) -Software fine-tunes the mouse speed And acceleration to match your preferences -Hyper wheel is Amazing! Great idea. -Extra programmable button below wheel. (I have mine set to CTRL+TAB so I can easily switch b/t my firefox Tabs with my mouse) -Document flipper wheel next to thumb comes in handy every once in awhile when copying items back and forth b/t documents.
CONS: -Short battery life. Normal work use ~2-3 days till recharge. (I'm spoiled by the MX 1000's long battery life, so havening to put the mouse on the recharger every 2 days is short to me.) -(refurbished, so my mouse occasionally gets 'stuck' and I have to wiggle my mouse to have the sensor kick in again.)
great great mouse May 19, 2008 don't be afraid to pick one of these up. i bought one a few weeks ago, its working flawlessly with all the newest drivers. i had been using a trackball-type mouse for years, so it took a little getting used to a mouse i had to move around on the table. but i have really been enjoying the added features. forward/back browser buttons, ultra fast scroll, and the search button really make internetting easier. highly recommend!
Beware of Refurbished... May 19, 2008 1 out of 1 found this review helpful
I bought one of the original MX Revolution mouses when they first came out. I love it. When I saw the price on this refurb version I decided to roll the dice so I could have the same mouse at work. It worked OK for about two weeks, then the battery crapped out. Because the batteries aren't user replaceable I had to return it. Amazon turned around a replacement in just a couple days, but now I need to see if I have the same problem. Refurbs on rechargeable batteries is probably a bad idea because of memory issues, unless they replace the battery during the refurb - which apparently wasn't the case in my first mouse. Wish me luck.
Great Product May 17, 2008 This mouse works awesome, and the battery is long lasting. I use this all day, every day at work, and the batteries last for almost 3 weeks!
