Anytime Organizer is the best October 30, 2006 11 out of 12 found this review helpful
I have been using Anytime since 1994. I have upgraded with each new version. This is one program that is affordable to upgrade without a second thought. It is one of the easiest, most intuitive programs I have ever used in 24 years of using computers. I have often said to people, my entire life is in Anytime. I am able to go back years to check on previous appointments or items on my to do list in the calendar. The address book gives me plenty of space to keep any additional information I may need as well as the notebook The printing options are endless. No matter how I want to print my calendar, the option is in there. And if you travel, it's fun to use the world clock, not to mention keeping track of your travel expenses. What I like most though is the simplicity of the product. It's an install and use. No manual necessary.
Very disapointed outlook user September 20, 2006 16 out of 16 found this review helpful
I use microsoft outlook, and was excited that this product supposedly syncs with outlook. Yay, I thought. Well, first time I sync, it deletes all my outlook calendar items! Took me an hour to restore everything to normal, and I have yet to find a setting where it won't do that! It takes over instead of simply staying synced. So fair warning, if you are an outlook user, backup before you try anything with this product!
Not Pricey, But Effective August 30, 2006 8 out of 10 found this review helpful
I've used Lotus Organizer for a long time and decided it was time to upgrade to a WinXP version. In looking at the latest release and the significant price tag; I decided there has to be something better. AnyTime Organizer is just as effective and for less than half the price as Lotus. It's not filled with all the customizable color/bells and whistles; but it doesn't have to be. It's effect, doesn't take a huge amount of memory to run on my laptop and does the same job just as well. It's a good buy.
Organize simply! August 15, 2006 12 out of 13 found this review helpful
I tried what seems like everything to do the simple tasks I wanted to do: maintain my address book (with some flexibility to attach things like driving directions), and keep all of those little snippets of information that couldn't be neatly and logically kept elsewhere without learning a complex application.
AnyTime was my answer, and I've been using it for years. The address book is not going to do what Act! does, but it's not supposed to. It's certainly robust enough for my needs, and I'm able to do things like export to my cell phone.
The other part I use heavily is the notebook. It's super-simple, but I keep everything in it that doesn't have another home.
Now, I noticed that the latest version now has a password manager. I'll definitely check that out, as it's one of the things I actually use the notebook for!
There's lot more functionality, but, unfortunately, my job forces me into another calendar system. Still, AnyTime, for me, has been that one simple, elegant tool that solved a whole bunch of "why can't my computer just do *this*!?" questions.
One of those apps you just grow to love!
Great Product! July 19, 2006 16 out of 16 found this review helpful
I bought the original version of this product, which was called "Stay Organized," quite a few years ago and thought it was a great product then. It was so simple to use that you didn't need to look at the instruction manual. I prefer a stand-alone organizer as opposed to those that come with various programs as I have found the ad-on organizers hard to get to and hard to use. You can use this program just like a book, turn pages, flip from one section to another.
This new version is really great as it has everything you need to keep up with everything that's going on in today's complicated world. I like having my calendar pop up when I turn on the computer with all my to do's for the day right there in front of me, although it's not necessary for those who don't want it that way. In fact, you can set the program up to work just about any way you want. I love the little clock that sits on my desk top. The notebook is a great added feature as well as the section that lets you keep up with all your passwords. I don't particularly need the earth clock, but if it's important to you to know what time it is in Bangladesh or any other part of the world, it's easy to find out. It's easy to create all kinds of reminders. Don't get excited, as I did, if every repeat of a repeated reminder for years to come shows up on your to do list. There's a button you can push to hide them all.
This new version is just as easy to use as the old, and I only had to check the manual a little bit at first to find out how to use some of the new and unfamiliar features. I used the built in help only once to find out how to make the passwords show up, as they automatically come up hidden, which is good if someone else is using your computer.
I've tried all kinds of organizers in my life and career, and in my opinion, this one is the best.
