Master Lock Wall Key safe November 29, 2007 3 out of 3 found this review helpful
Excellent product, very reasonably priced and easy to install. Discreet. Thumb wheels a bit fiddly but no worse than a bike lock combination. Tip: You might want to mount this in a well lit area for easy access at night. One niggle, no hook inside to hang the key on, other wise fine.
Very Good and Recommended, but a Caution... November 9, 2007 10 out of 10 found this review helpful
This is a great lock and I recommend it.
Pro's:
It is well built and sturdy. It's sized to fit on the door jamb in between the door and storm door, so it's out of sight but easy to access. The mechanism works well (though the controls could be a bit bigger).
Con's:
My Caution is this: when you close the lock, the combination remains there. You have to remember to scramble it. This could be an issue if you allow others to use the lock, such as friends or workers. I'll address the issue by putting a note in the box to "scramble combination after closing". Of course, this applies to similar locks but a better design would be that the door doesn't latch while the combination is set.
with 10000 combinations this beats the button style keylock October 18, 2007 5 out of 5 found this review helpful
This is very easy to install and use. It is better than Supra lock where digits cannot be re-used and order of pressing does not matter. This one with 10000 combinations is much better.
Does the job October 11, 2007 7 out of 7 found this review helpful
I bought a couple of these for my rental properties and have only used one. It is at my own house. It is well worth the price to know that I will not get locked out of my house again. Also, if I unexpectedly need to let someone in my house, I can give them the combination and then reset the lock afterwards so they cannot get in later. I chose this model, which is screwed in with the screws only accessible when it is unlocked, because I though it would be less tempting to steal than the one that loops over the door lock. This model can go anywhere and be less noticeable. Also, I did not want anyone breaking the handle off of the door to get to the lockbox.
GREAT October 11, 2007 5 out of 5 found this review helpful
Extremely sturdy and easy to use. Full-metal construction will keep anyone out for sure. Worth every penny! I rent out rooms of my house, so the sturdy construction as well as the ability to change the combination whenever I want makes it a great solution to the problem of people locking themselves out.
