It works OK. July 6, 2008 This shredder is a little underpowered IMHO but it does what I need it to do in a household application.
  Great Shredder July 1, 2008
This shredder will meet all your household needs. This is the second Fellowes Powershred Shredder I have owned. I had my previous one for 6 years and it basically became too small. With all the identity theft going on, I shred everything. The P-57 handles all my shredding jobs, big and small. If you are looking for a great household shredder, you can't go wrong buying the Fellowes Powershred P-57.
Son recommended. June 30, 2008 Is as good as my son said. Better than the one it replaced from Staples which was more expensive and failed after 9 months. Good power.
good shredder June 29, 2008 Great. Works well. Has main off and on switch on top and another power switch on side which makes me happy for safety. (Have 5 year old in house, he knows not to touch the shredder without me being right there). For small home office realize a smaller one would have been fine, but happy with this one, works great. Also checked consumer reports, I think this was rated best for size. I also realize most mail goes in garbage, less to shred than I thought, but still nice to have.
Simply Adequate June 23, 2008 2 out of 2 found this review helpful
This unit performs adequately in its intended job (shredding paper). I have two caveats with this unit. One, it does not shred the left corner of the paper, instead leaving a straight strip of paper. Two, the shred particles are too big. For example, I shred a bank statement and looked at a random shred and was able to read my entire account number. My best advice is this, safety is one thing, quality shredding is another. Look elsewhere.
