better than I expected November 23, 2007 I've been meaning to start taking fish oils for many years, but thought I wouldn't be able to tolerate the taste (and aftertaste). This one is actually palatable, I take it almost everyday. I hope the health benefits are as good as the claims.
PLEASANT TASTE, MEMORY IMPROVING October 30, 2007 1 out of 1 found this review helpful
This is my first time to use a Carlson Laboratories' product. The lemon flavored fish oil arrived in a box full of packing material. In addition, the bottle was secured inside a bag of plastic air bubbles. The lemon flavoring covered any fishy taste. Sometimes, I take the oil without any follow-up food or drink. I have difficulty with remembering details and directions. Since taking the fish oil, I seem to be more alert. Because this is a first experience with me, I assigned four stars.
Health in a Bottle August 23, 2007 1 out of 2 found this review helpful
This product is not something when you pour it out you don't want to swallow. The lemon flavor actually makes it very palatable and knowing it is Omega-3 at it's best should keep you taking it.
Good Clean Healthy Fish Oil with a Nice Lemon Flavor. July 27, 2007 1 out of 2 found this review helpful
This fish oil is very easy to take. It tastes like Lemon & Rosemary. My mom thinks it tastes like Lemon & Rosemary Fish but she was stilled pleased with the mild flavor. Carlson brand is known for their high quality standards. This is a very economical size, especially if more than one member of the household is taking fish oil supplements. I will definitely buy this product again.
Great for those who can't handle capsules June 14, 2007 10 out of 12 found this review helpful
I've been using fish oil for a long time, and my children's doctor recommended it for them too. Standard capsules may be hard to swallow, and also give you "fish burps." Enteric coated capsules solve that problem, are higher in omega-3 than standard capsules, and are cheaper than Carlson. But Carlson is even higher in omega-3 than the enteric capsules, and is easy for children to take.
The lemon flavor is not a perfect solution, since it still tastes oily. After all, it's oil. But it solves a lot of problems, especially if the capsules don't work for you. And you have to take a fist full of capsules to get the benefit of a spoonful of this, so it's far more practical to use Carlson, and you can even use it on salad and avoid the process of swallowing it by the spoonful altogether. Since dressing uses oil anyway, all you gain gastronomically is a bit of a nice lemon taste.
