Editorial Reviews:
Product Description DECT is a cordless phone protocol that has been very popular in Europe for nearly a decade. The FCC recently adopted this technology for use in the USA. It makes sense. Nice and clear November 23, 2008 We have had two other phones in the past that we replaced with this one. The previous ones had horrible static. This one is clear as a bell. We use it with Vonage and have baby monitors going all the time and haven't had any problems. We don't use the answering machine so I don't know how well that works but the other features suit me just fine. I don't need a lot of bells and whistles so all I really use is the caller ID and the phonebook. The phonebook alphabetizes the numbers which is nice. The speakerphone works fine but you have to be within about three feet of the handset for the other person to hear you.
Best Yet November 22, 2008 It seems that in the last several years, I have been buying cordless phones in search of the true "Prince". Alas, all proved to be toads until now. Sound quality is great!Speakerphone is wonderful! And for someone who is fundamentally technologically challenged, it is relatively easy to use. I plan to buy one for my 87 year old mother.
Good clear sound November 21, 2008 We got this phone set because our last phone had muffled sound. A consumer testing organization recommended the sound on this Panasonic. And yes, it is much better for us than the last phone. In addition, we find we are using some of the features. No complaints for these first six weeks of ownership.
Not bad for the money November 18, 2008 This phone is decent for the money, but I expected more. You have to separately store numbers in the address book in both handsets. The voice clarity sometimes fades in and out a little, and you cannot set your own ring tone. Otherwise it seems to be a good phone.
Dect 6.0 November 11, 2008 Was extremely pleased with the Panasonic Dect 6.0 answering system. It works where others had failed and it is so convenient not to have to get up and get the phone in the other room. It's terrific.
