NETGEAR XE103G November 5, 2008 Excellent product! I use it to connect my Dish Network DVR across the room to a WRT54G router for satellite access. I plugged everything in and everything worked without a hitch.
Gambling, losing and product return. November 3, 2008 1 out of 1 found this review helpful
I've seen spotty reviews on the technology, but I had a need at home and on several client sites for a bridge option the tech offered, so I decided to try it out. After many hours of isolating circuits, disassembling the service box to determine the bus bar phase layout, etc. I gave up on the units due to intermittent and slow connectivity. The software that came with them was clunky, slow and resource intensive and did nothing to assist with connection diagnosis. After two days, I reactivated my wireless bridge setup (WRT54GL w/DD-WRT; works like a champ except when the microwave is on.)
So easy even a republican can do it... October 30, 2008 0 out of 3 found this review helpful
Nothing to it. Literally plug and play and it works. Easier than running new lines all over the house.
Excellent Product October 15, 2008 After years of trying to make WiFi work in our sprawling old house, I finally discovered the NetGear XE103-104 system. It work's far better than I had even hoped!
With a home/office network consisting of nine PC's, two Tivos, and a MacBook, the "wired" network works incredibly well. Users on all machines get blinding-fast connection speeds to and through our cable modem.
Installation was a breeze. Plug and play did all the work on the Windows XP and Vista machines and the Mac. Had to tweak the Tivo settings a bit, but it wasn't too difficult.
Although the Netgear power adapters are more expensive than a wireless router, the gains in performance more than justify the expense.
Highly recommended.
Great product August 28, 2008 Takes all of 2 minutes to setup and works great. I love the simplicity of this product.
