Amazon.com Product Description LG's HBS-200 Bluetooth Stereo Headset offers an affordable way to stream music wirelessly from a cell phone embedded with the Bluetooth stereo music streaming profile. It also serves double duty as a communication headset, allowing you to take calls without having to take the headphones off. Stylishly and ergonomically designed with an around-the-neck profile, it conveniently folds for easy storage.
All play controls are conveniently located on the right earpiece. | The HBS-200 has a sturdy, flexible rubber band that connects the two 2-inch earpieces, and it can be stretched or minimized for just the right size. All controls reside on the right earpiece, and they include a play/pause/stop button in the middle, volume controls on top, and a control on the outside border of the earpiece that allows you to shuttle between songs. The center of the headset also includes a silver power/talk button (with a phone icon), which you can use to answer incoming calls. You can also access the headset's voice-activated dialing and last-number redial features by pressing the power/talk button first. You can also mute a call by pressing the volume down button. Pairing the HBS-200 headset is a breeze, and a status indicator on the headset will blink blue every 3 seconds once it's connected.
Unfolded, the HBS-200 offers a comfortable around-the-neck profile. | The HBS-200 provides up to 10 hours of talk time, 8 hours of continuous music playback, and 250 hours of standby time. A status indicator on the headset will blink red when the battery is running low, prompting you to plug in the included charger. The headset fully charges in approximately 3 hours. Note: Your cell phone must be embedded with the Bluetooth A2DP stereo music streaming profile in order to wirelessly listen to audio. Specifications - Bluetooth version 1.2
- Embedded Bluetooth profiles: A2DP (stereo music streaming), AVRC (remote control), HFP (hands-free car kits), HSP (communication headsets)
- Range: 33 feet (10 meters)
- Weight: 10.4 ounces

Second pair seems better constructed. June 15, 2008 My initial experience was similar to that mentioned in other reviews: the first pair I had broke in a padded computer bag. Since I have trouble pairing with other devices, I reluctantly bought another pair. The manufacturer seems to have addressed the poor quality evident in the original version--and even advertised that fact by writing "durable" on the packaging. The material of construction is definitely different. We'll see how they hold up.
Maxing volume transfers call to phone! June 9, 2008 This headset is being sold by Verizon Wireless for $80. This was one of the few spontaneous buys that I have ever made. Not again. If I try to adjust the volume upwards, and keep the "+" key pressed, at max volume I get a beep and the call gets transferred to the phone (Palm 700WX from Verizon). To get back in business, I have to find my phone, and press some keys on it.
This piece of junk is going back to the store after using it for 3 test calls and 1 real call. The real call test showed quality being low. The only positive thing about this headset is that the phone conversation is heard in both ears.
WORTHLESS June 2, 2008 IF YOU WEAR THIS DEVICE, YOU WILL HEAVE YOUR EARS BLISTER OR TURN RED. IT HURT SO BAD AFTER A FEW MINUTES WEARING IT. I HAVE TO ADMIT, IT LOOK LIKE THE 60 STYLE EAR MUFF
Not worth it May 12, 2008 Headset broke in the same spot as other people in less than a month. Right where the headset rests on the ear. Poor design. Called LG, first person said that I could return it, but that it would be sent right back to me because the damage was physical. Talked to a manager and she said to send it in. Did so and sure enough, got the headset back with a note stating customer abuse, return as-is. I was lied to by the manager who probably just wanted me off the phone. (added another $5 to the cost) This is unacceptable for a product that cost over $100 originally.
Button controls seemed fine and battery life was good. It did create a whine in the background when playing sound and was slightly uncomfortable though. If it had held together it would have been acceptable, but not great.
Bottom-line - A product that doesn't last a month of normal use is not a product at all. I am now very reluctant to recommend any LG products. Maybe look at the Jabra BT620s instead.

I would have to agree with the other reviewers....if you are looking for quality, these are not the headphones for you. I got mine paired with the Samsung Juke Phone from Verizon so they were the only option I had. Mine have broken by the ear piece on BOTH sides for no aparent reason. They are now held together with super glue and duck tape. The battery doesnt hold a charge worth a damn. Being fair, the sound is good, although I have nothing to compare it with...the controls on the heaphones work just fine...if that's a plus...all in all, I 'd say they arent worth a squirt of urine.....
