broke after a month October 9, 2008 One month after buying this product, and after playing dvd's for approximately four hours, I can no longer play dvd's on it. It wont read any dvds I put in. Unfortunately I threw away my warranty so I have little recourse. I would rate this product zero stars were that option available.

This is an excellent product and one that is increasingly more difficult to find. I highly recommend it. It saved me space in my entertainment cabinet.
Best bang for the buck August 12, 2008 4 out of 4 found this review helpful
After having done many searches looking for a combo upscanning player, I kept coming back to the Samsung as having a strong brand reputation, all the features you might want at a price point that is well below the other choices out there.
I have had the unit for about 1 month and so far it seems to be working as expected.
I did notice some of what seemed like compression noise but I have not had the time to fully investigate. All I can say is watching a DVD movie on my 42 inch LCD at 1080i was a very nice experience.
