Product Description Solar-Powered, Self-Powered AM/FM/Weatherband Portable Radio with Flashlight and Cell Phone Charger. The Microlink brings together some of the most popular features of our Voicelink, in a more compact design. This ultra-portable device is ideal to have on hand when you're roughing it. It also makes a great addition to any emergency-preparedness kit. No plugs or wires are required. Instead, turn the hand crank to power the Microlink, or capture the sun's energy and run it on solar power. You'll always know what's going on, thanks to the AM, FM and weather bands. You can also tune in to the FCC and EAS public alert systems. Add the flashlight, the cell phone charger and you've got one versatile little device.

nice July 2, 2009 Compact, high build quality for price. Radio works fine for weather, but I wouldn't want to listen to music on it for very long. Crank doesn't feel like it'll break after 60 seconds. Three-LED flashlight is fairly bright for a small dynamo flashlight. Ordered the free cell phone adapter from Eton, but haven't been able to test that part yet.
small and simple June 27, 2009 1 out of 1 found this review helpful
This is a little radio that can! It is easy to carry around (if you need to) and produces clear sound. The solar panel seems to be working well - I have not cranked it at all after receiving it and it always have sufficient power to run on.
I only wish it has digital tuning...
TINY portable radio June 20, 2009 1 out of 1 found this review helpful
TINY but sufficient. I was stunned at how small it is but it does pick up a couple of local stations and the emergency alert system. I assume it's small size is designed to pack or take up little space in emergency spaces. Not powerful but OK. In a January ice storm a neighbor loaned me a similar but larger radio and it was my lifeline.
Really Cool Radio with Good Flashlight. June 19, 2009 This unit is a compact transistor type radio a little bigger than the size of the average male hand. Mine came fully charged and it recharges quickly and easily through almost any light, not only sun light, or through hand cranking the sturdy handle. 30 seconds of hand cranking seems to be more than enough for plenty of air time.
The Flashlight is so bright that I can't stare into the light although it is a bit scattered as a light it does provide plenty of light for its size. The weather band is great and works well and the radio is reliable but all reception is determined by the positioning of the analog antena. I have had no problem getting reception with the antena up and directed.
The earplug and usb connectors are standard and my mobile phone (T-Mobile Sidekick) head set and usb Power Adapter fit just fine although I have not yet tried recharging the Mobile phone the Head Set works excellent with the radio. Overall I say this is a good and reliable emergency unit providing the basic needs for when the power goes out in the house and if you ever need an emergency weather band radio. I would definately recomend for the price.
Awesome product June 16, 2009 I thought this was going to be larger, and for a moment, was disappointed. However, once realizing how functional this unit is, I quickly changed my mind. I keep it in my Purse! Takes up little room and I always have light :) When camping, the NOAA lets us know the weather, leave it out and the sun charges it for you, forget to leave it in the sun, my 7 y/o winds it up, and then we listen to the radio until bed. Durable and light. Will charge your cell phone, but make sure you have the correct adapters. I love it!
