Product Description Use of a highly rigid bamboo material in the center speaker helps achieve an extremely pure, clean sound. A Kelton Subwoofer system with a dual diameter structure delivers a deep, powerful bass. Whisper-Mode Surround allows you to enjoy rich surround sound even when watching movies at low volume.Panasonic DVD home theater products feature a 1080p up-conversion function that converts standard definition images from DVD sources to high definition images. These up-converted signals draw out the maximum performance of an HDMI compatible 1080p HDTV, giving you vivid, sharp and exceptionally detailed high-resolution images to enjoy. With the included Wireless Kit for Rear Speakers, no cables means no clutter. You can also expand your music listening into three additional rooms with the wireless multi-room speaker kit (sold separately). Play your favorite music from your home theater's built-in hard drive in your living room and listen to it in your bedroom, in the den, or even in the garage. The built-in Universal Dock for iPod gives you a great way to enjoy music and video. Just slip your iPod into the cradle and enjoy. The dock charges your iPod, allows you to use the home theater remote to control the iPod, has on-screen audio menus, and also plays back iPod video. The enhanced Viera link displays a menu on the TV screen, making it easier to operate your connected home theater system. For example, you can display a menu with a list of the movies or music stored on your iPod, and use the Viera remote control unit to select one and begin playback.

Good product... September 30, 2008 The system works great but isn't as wireless as it leads you to believe... had to get into the attic to hide the wires for the background speakers - So while it's a "wireless kit" for the rear speakers they are wireless from the main system but have their own reciever that they are wired to wherever you chose to set them up. We were hoping to find a product to avoid that... It wasn't worth the hassle of sending it back and shopping more since we were excited to get our new TV and surround sound set up...
It offers great sound and relatively easy to set up (outside of the wiring).
Good system, easy to set up September 21, 2008 This is my first surround sound unit, and it works well as an intro. I recommend picking up an Optical Fiber cable if you're going to hook up multiple systems like I did. The system itself only has one Optical input, and I previously had all of my systems (Cable, Wii, 360, PS3) running through the TV. But if your TV has an Optical Out, you can just use the cable to make the TV output through the speakers no matter which system you're using. The only problem I've run into is the PS3, which plays in surround for movies but not games for some reason.
Great basic+ system. September 20, 2008 I haven't had any of the problems that other reviewers mentioned, so I'm enjoying good sound, a great upconverting DVD player, and the affordable price. However, I am experiencing a significant amount of hissing in the only rear the speakers. I've tried different outlets (none of them sharing with a florescent) and lowering the output on each, but the problem remains. Would a set of high-quality wires help? Any other tips?
Nice But.......................... September 17, 2008 nice sound, easy hook up and does the job. It lacks the power I was expecting, so I am displeased, but you get what you pay for! If it wasn't so complicated to fit back in the box, I would return.
What a mistake September 5, 2008 I've been struggling with the decision of which home theater system to buy. I'm not that much of an audiophile so spending big bucks isn't worth it, but I do appreciate an intuitive, easy to use, and dependable product. Unfortunately, this product isn't it.
First, right out of the box the disc trays didn't work which ultimately caused me to return the product. I can't tell you how frustrating it is to get a product, spend time setting it up, power it on to watch your first DVD and it doesn't work. This is the first time I've ever bought anything that didn't work right out of the box.
Beyond the malfunctioning DVD trays, i took the opportunity to explore the other features of this product to see if it was worth replacing. The integrated ipod dock is really cool, although it only plays audio via HDMI. I know that it is supposed to play video via composite hook up, but for the life of me couldn't figure out how.
The other problem big problem is that this unit's display is small and uninformative, primarily because you are supposed to use the TV screen to see the options. This is fine for some things, like DVDs, but when using it for audio only purposes it becomes a nuisance.
The wireless surround speakers seemed to work just fine, and as a feature it is incredibly convenient to avoid running wires around the room.
Overall, even if the product actually functioned, i still would have been a little disappointed (maybe 3 stars) but not working properly out of the box is completely unacceptable.
