Product Description The Ferrari F-20 from Acer is an LCD unlike any other. Experience an added thrill as your favorite games come to life on a 20" wide-screen with distinctive gloss red and black chassis. The Ferrari F-20 is practical, too, as well as handsome. Acer's unique CrystalBrite Technology provides brighter colors, crisper graphics and higher contrast to help you get the most out of graphics, gaming and everyday applications. Two 5W bezel-integrated speakers contribute to the multimedia experience. The fast response time eliminates "ghosting" on moving images, while the high contrast ratio generates sharper images and lines. The world-famous Ferrari prancing horse logo attests to the quality of this flat panel, both inside and out.

Outstanding Monitor! June 20, 2008 I spent a long time debating whether or not to spoil myself and buy this monitor (I have a red motif for my computer equipment so this model had caught my eye a long time ago), but finally took the plunge a few days ago.
What can I say, this monitor is absolutely stunning and the pictures simply don't do it justice. The quality is everything you'd expect and more. The stand is solid and has good weight to it, the monitor has an absolutely beautiful finish to it and the whole look of the unit is just breathtaking.
If you're in the market for a 20", I don't see how you can pass this one up. It is one of the best 20" monitors out there and it's definitely a show stopper on anyone's desk. If you're like me and have a thing for red, you simply have to get this monitor.
This thing is worth it at twice the price, so get one while you can. You can't get your hands on a nicer monitor for the money and you can't get better picture quality for the money either. Hands down an incredible monitor and absolutely worth every penny.
Acer Ferrari Wins again September 2, 2007 A great products. looks good. works great. right price BUT expensive and difficult to ship to Australia
Great Monitor August 23, 2007 I bought this monitor from computer direct a couple months ago, and I have been very satisfied with it so far. Some specifics from my purchase experience were:
1.The clarity and contrast are exactly what I was looking for in a monitor, and spec for spec, it is a bargain compared to other brands.
2.The computer direct processing and shipping was outrageously fast. I ordered it on a Monday afternoon (around 2 PM) and with no extra shipping costs, the monitor was at my door in Chicago by the time I got home from work Tuesday.
3.The stand is by far the most inferior aspect of this monitor. It will only move the monitor side to side (no up/down or tilt feature). However, the view angle on this thing is so big that you will see very clearly on any desk/viewing situation you normally run across.
4.Just in general, make sure your graphics card can handle the native screen resolution on this monitor. Many computers from 2003 or before may not be able to.
5.I have seen no dead pixels or color bleeding that I've heard about with other ACER models
Brilliant monitor in every way June 27, 2007 I've looked everywhere for a 1080p monitor with a glossy screen and this was the closest thing I have been able to find (1680x1050, which is close enough).
I'm pleasantly surprised to find that there is no noticable glare on the glossy screen: the anti-reflective surface works exactly as advertised, whether exposed to sunlight or artificial light. I'm afraid those who laud the benefits of anti-glare (matte) screens have never seen a good anti-reflective screen. The colors are bright and the contrast is superb; the monitor doubles well as a TV or video display, unlike typical (matte) LCD monitors which appear dull and washed out in comparison. The "glass" effects in Vista and Ubuntu Beryl look particularly realistic on this monitor.
My only minor complaint would be that like most Acer monitors, switching between inputs (e.g. DVI vs. VGA) is a bit slow and awkward. Fortunately I've recently converted my three attached PCs (Vista, Ubuntu and OSX) to DVI on a KVM switch. Also note that the bottom of the stand is quite sharp and will scratch a wood surface if it is moved without lifting it.
I only hope Acer eventually sees fit to release a glossy-surfaced monitor at a true 1080p resolution. Unfortunately they say that they currently have no plans to do so.
Looks and performance, together in one January 11, 2007 2 out of 2 found this review helpful
The acer ferrari 20-inch LCD is a masterpiece. The external looks justify the badge - sleek black surround and a glossy rich red stand. controls are discreetly tucked away to the side but easily accessible, and ports on the back are hidden but easy to find. performance is great - blacks are rich and dark, colours well saturated, and speed eminently up to scratch. I have yet to try playing DVDs but gaming (half-life 2, call of duty) is superb. Well and truly a bargain.
