In my life, I have owned three electric skillets. This overall is the best by far. It has a big capacity without being enormous to store and clumsy to handle. It's temperature settings are right on and hold food well. Its no stick feature is great-- the only thing is forget about carmelizing vegetables well- and cleans up in a flash. The lid is tight fitting enough to be unconcerned about drying up or burning up unattended food. The only thing that is a little strange is that, as it heats and cools, it makes a few popping noises. At first, I thought the glass lid was going to shatter but, nope, it still pops a bit with no worry. I would recommend it but I still miss the shiney cooking surface on those rare occasions i want to cook my vegetables. For the money, it is a winner.

This skillet is large enough for a big family. It maintains the temperature very well. It is easy to clean.

After going through several cheaper electric skillets, I am glad I finally went ahead and spent the $99. This is by far the best electric skillet I have purchased. You can feel the high quality of the product as soon as you take it out of the box, it feels nice and solid.
Another great quality is it's not plagued by the unwieldly screw-on legs so many skillets have, it just has rubber feet that keep it firmly in place on your counter while you cook.
I only have one complaint: the oval shape is not as convenient for me as a rectangular skillet, it holds less bacon at a time, for example.
I highly recommend this product!

This is one of the greatest small appliances I have ever owned. Its shape, eveness of heating and good looks make this Cusinart Skillet a cooks dream. I find my self loving it more each day. When I received it I thought, "this may be too large for the two of us"..not so.. It is all around superior to any other skillet! The extra room in it makes cooking easier and with the non stick coating it is a snap to cook then clean..I appreciated getting such good service by ordering it from Amazon. Every detail of my purchase was wonderful. Thanks so much!

I loved this Cuisinart electric skillet for 3 years. It is attractive, seemingly well-built, cleaned up easily and did a great job cooking.
Then, after three years of use (not real frequent use - maybe once a week on average, if not less), the thermostat stopped working. Like some other negative reviewers here, I discovered that all of a sudden it started cooking everything on the highest possible temperature, no matter what temperature I dialed in on the thermostat.
Given the cost of this unit compared to most others on the market, I would have thought it would last longer than (coincidentally) it's warranty period (i.e., 3 years). I would NOT buy another one.
