Synology All-In-One SOHO NAS Server - DS106E January 5, 2007

This is a very good Network Attached All-In-One Server and this is one of the best one I have ever owned compare to all others such as Buffalo, NetGear, LinkSys, NexDisk etc. Most (I would say all) of NAS required to install a specific dirver in order to work with this network resources, but Synology did very very good job on this because it doesn't need to install any software or driver in order to connect to this device. It used standard network protocol, and you can connect to this NAS device as long as your computer is on the network, it is just like a file server on your network at work. In addition, this device support unicode whcih will support many different other language (or different code page) which your filename or folder name can be saved as different language such as Chinese Traditional etc. while all other different brand won't suppport it. Besides NAS, this device also support many features that other dont' have. It support PHP, Photo Album, FTP, HTTP, Bit-Torrent, MultiMedia Streamig etc. Although you may think the price is little bit high compare to other brand, but this is a totall different devcie and it is well-worth to go for it. This little NAS device has CPU, memory build-in and it run with Linux Based OS, so I will treat this as a little mini Computer Server instead of just a NAS Server. You won't regert to hvae one like this once you own it. Highly Recommend.
