these set of speakers totally rock. i am completely satisfied with my purchase. turning it up to max volume will seriously have others covering their ears. Installation is simple, no upgrades to my sound card at all (optional of course). The wires for the speakers are long enough, i myself had to add like 5 more feet to the back speakers. the main controller is simple to use, as well as the remote. Exceptional sound, no static, just be sure to keep to head the warnings.

These speakers aren't your typical home theater system. I purchased it for my PC but realized it had more potential than that. So I hooked it up to my home theater and it sounded just as good as my home theater system. Funny thing is...bass was strong and deep when placed with PC but did not display the same when placed with the home theater. It may be a location thing. (Let me know if you know) Bottom line is that these speakers probably won't satisfy the individual who owns a 1k+ home theater system, but it sure beats most low-end systems you usually find at places like walmart, target, etc... (which may cost twice as much in many cases)
On a final note...if you're not into setting up a home theater system, these speakers are perfect for you. Very easy to setup and control. Note...there are two versions, one has satellites with speaker wires attached and one without. I got the one without and it's a plus because then I can use higher-end and or longer wires to fit my needs.

These speakers sound so amazing. Dont let the size in the picture fool you. These speakers are very well built and are quite large compared to other computer speakers. You will really here these speakers at there best when you are watching HD movies or playing games in Dobly Digital. The sound quality is crisp with no distortion as you turn the volume up.

Alright, I bought this product after going through many options. I had been using Creative inspire series (4.1 and later 5.1) for almost 5 yrs.
It was sort of quite difficult to drop creative and go for logitech. But the purchase of this product lived up to the mark after I started using them. I am running these speakers on my HP notebook with Creative X-fi extreme audio notebook card and I am really amazed with the performance of combination of these 2 products.
In the past I've seen that most of the speakers surrendered to creative sound card's bass booster and used to crack the sound. But this one pitches in with a thumping woof and feels like a live recording.
I could open only 30% of the total volume and they were aloud for the neighbours.
The control Unit adds extra spice to the use of product with a handy and simple remote to control the settings.
Below are the pros and cons
Pros
1. Loud and clear output compared to other in 5.1 range.
2. Stylish design.
3. Control unit operations.
4. Connectivity to other devices (iPod, DVD, CD player, TV) is extremely simple.
Cons.
1. Saw few reviews about the Fuse on the woofer blowing up. Personally haven't got that issue so far but
I feel if power on/off managed properly with the help of spike card, it should not be a trouble at all.

I was a little hesitant in buying these speakers due to the various people commenting that they didn't do music too well. Well they do, in fact, do music very well along with anything else I throw at them. Awesome set of speakers, especially if you can get them as cheap as they have them at Amazon. HIghly recommended.
