not worth it July 8, 2007 0 out of 1 found this review helpful
difficult controls, bad camera movement, and mediocre graphics are just some of the things that plagued this game. among other things were horrible AI, lack of originality, and its very...very... unintuitive. I probably wont play it again.
This game is awsome!! February 16, 2007 THiS GAME IS FREAKIN' AWsOME!!!!! WOOT!!!
This game is like homeworld x 3123. It is more realistic, for example, to get RU's (resource units) this is what happens:
Homeworld: You build a ship called "Harvester" and it shoots a beam at asteroids.
ORB: You create a resource base and a recon ship. You scan an asteroid with the recon ship for any useful metals, etc. You then send in the resource base to create a refinery on the asteroid, and you send freighters in and out to collect it.
it sounds more complicated in ORB, but its not. just a few clicks really. One problem... nobody is online :( i cant find any1 to fight online so if u buy this for ONLY the multiplayer dont get it, but what kind of NOOB does that?
BUY THIS IT IS AWSOME AS I SAID BEFORE!!!
off world resource base August 21, 2006 ok game with limited margins for victory. hard to navigate in 3d mode 2d works better for me
Fun in the stars September 5, 2005 0 out of 2 found this review helpful
This game is very entertaining, more so in multiplayer mode. Otherwise the variety of ships and intriguing technology tree should keep most RTS players satisfied.
ONE OF MY TOP 10 GAMES March 10, 2005 3 out of 22 found this review helpful
I WAS LOOING FOR A PRACTICAL STRATEGY GAME AT A LOCAL BESTBUY WHEN I CAME ACROSS A REALLY COOL LOOKING GAME. I TOOK A LONG LOOK AT IT AND AFTER A WHILE I STARTED TO THINK THIS WOULD END UP BEING AN INCREDIBLE GAME. IT DID LOOK COMPLICATED, NOT THAT IT ISNT. WARNING: THIS GAME IS NOT FOR THE PEOPLE WHO ADORE INSTANT GRADIFICATION. ANY WAY T I THOUGHT I'D GIVE IT A SHOT. AND I WAS SOOO HAPPY WITH MY CHOICE I THOUGHT I SHOULD TELL ALL OF MY FRIENDS ABOUT THIS GREAT UNKNOWN GAME.... SO THATS WHERE I CAME TO WRTING MY REVIEW. FOR SPACE BATTLETIME LVERS ITS A "MUST HAVE" ALSO ITS VERY COMPLICATED TOO. GOTA REMEMBER ALOT OF STUFF. ON THE GAME, THERE ARE TWO SPECIES YOU CAN PICK FROM: MALUS:ALYSSIANS.: THEY ARE BOTH VERY DIFFERANT BUT THE BEST WAY TO DESCRIBE THEM IS THAT MALUS ARE GREAT IN FORCE AND ALYSSIANS ARE GREAT AT MOVEMENT AND ACURACY. OVER ALL A "MUST HAVE"!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
