I installed Webroot Window Washer on both my computers. My laptop running XP and my desktop running XP. I was simply amazed at how much information is stored on your computers cache. When I ran it on my 3 year old desk top it removed over 600 MB of stored information. On my laptop it removed over 200 MB of information cached. I was so surprised that Windows Media Player and Real Player had a history of everything I ever watched or listened to using those programs. The first time I ran the program it took about 10 minuets to wash. Now I have it wash every 8 hours and it takes less then 1 minute to wash.
Everyone needs this program. It will make your computer run smother and gives you back valuable hard drive space.

Excellent for cleaning cache files. I have used this product for 4+ years with no problems. The current version 6.5 lets you customize it to the next level so it wont wash away any important cookies or files and works with XP or Vista.

After using Webroot Window Washer for many years I have become a big fan. I have never had any problems with the software and it has always done a great job, until now.....
I recently bought a new computer with windows Vista installed. The new version of Window Washer 6.5 supports Vista, so I bought the new version.
The program installed fine and then after a recent update, the wash was taking 2 to 3 hours to complete (usually takes under 1 minute).
I contacted Webroot via their online email support. I received a reply 2 days later which had nothing to do with my question and did not help at all. I contacted them again, but received THE SAME response - what a joke. Yesterday I received a survey to complete about my satisfaction, saying they are committed to having good customer relations. I gave them all 1's - what a surprise!!!
This is a real shame, as they have great products, but don't have the support to back it up.

I love this program. It had made my computer work soooo much better. Not only that but it helps me get rid of all the left over junk from uninstalling things and it also helps keep you computer safe by deleting tracks and cookies.

Until recently I was using version 5 and it worked great. Then I upgraded to version 6 and all of a sudden each individual file required a solid three or four seconds of my hard drive making awful noises to "bleach" with only a 3x overwrite. I did some research elsewhere and found that people are having all kinds of problems with this version of the product. You would do well to research yourself before you buy version 6 or upgrade to it.
After what I experienced and read I got scared of this product and decided to write off the cost and de-install it. I bought a competitive product. What a disappointment.
