beats the old mac extension September 9, 2003
I purchased Conflict Catcher to replace the existing extension that came with 9.1 because of problems with the software. It crashes, hogs some memory and has limited function compareable to the most colorful Conflict Catcher which has more function than a hard bound encyclopedia. Its function is apparent during the start up and you can adjust the icons to its smaller size to avoid less clutter on the desktop upon startup. You can make multiple sets of extensions to reduce the amount of existing extensions needed so the computer can run smoothly without slowing down. If there is conflict with a particular extension software, the Conflict catcher will alert you to it so you can make a decision to ignore the problem extension software entirely, or even better, to delete the offending extension to ensure a smooth ride to your desktop.
