Why put your valuable data at risk when virus protection is as simple as a single mouse click? Virex 6.0 offers comprehensive, hassle-free protection with a minimum of work. The software's initial examination of the hard drive requires a little patience, as Virex takes its time to painstakingly examine every archive and file. After this first pass, however, the SpeedScan feature kicks in and ensures that subsequent scans fly past. Once installed, Virex automatically checks every file that's downloaded to make sure it's safe. To the program's credit, these background scans are completely invisible to the user and don't noticeably impact performance. Further scans can be scheduled or triggered by hot keys, but should you want Virex to do a custom scan of the software, it's never out of reach. A Drop Scan allows you to drag and drop any file or folder you want searched. Control-click (in Mac OS 8 or better) lets you access the appropriate plug-ins, and the Control Strip puts key Virex functions just a mouse click away. The unique Snapshot feature lets you keep a record of a healthy drive. This record can tip you off to previously undocumented virulent activity. Very easy to download and can be easily commanded to do a variety of tasks and gives you a daily report if desired.
