Norton 14.0 Recovery disk has no 64X drivers for Vista Business July 5, 2008
When creating a system recovery disk, I received a message stating that the 32 bit drivers included in the system recovery disk would not be usable to reboot my system. This was good to know. I was then presented with the option to create a custom recovery disk and tell Norton where to find the drivers that I wanted to add to my recovery disk. I will let you know how that works, once I figure out where the drivers reside on my system. I am pretty sure they reside in c:\windows\sysWOW64\drivers but when I browsed that folder there were just a few files and I know there are many more drivers required to reboot my system to the point I can restore a backup.
The reason I purchased Ghost was because I read so many bad reviews about the built in backup system for Windows operating systems. I am thinking it may be time to give the built in system for Vista Business 64X a try and not waste any more time trying to get Norton 14.0 to work. I was surprized to see how many other people are having diffculty using this product.

Amazon provided the best pricing for this product. Ghost 14 works well with Vista and provides for excellent security in backing up your data.
 Surprising Incompatibility June 28, 2008
I never got to use the product because it contained an irreconcileable incompatibilty with Norton's System Works 2004, which resides on my computer. Ghost 14.0 disabled System Work's programs such as Password Manager and One Button Checkup. Norton technician, during a technical support session on the first day of installation, remotely uninstalled the Ghost 14.0 program from my computer. Currently I am waiting for a refund, which I was advised woud take several weeks! I use Windows XP Professional on my HP laptop.
 Hidden Faults with Norton Ghost June 24, 2008
All the review said this was a easy to use product. After installation it failed to back my C: drive as promised in the literature. I had to GOOGLE for a solution. And finally after doing 7 "CHECKDSK" command it finally work.
Back up made easy. June 13, 2008
Works well and reliably. I upgraded from version 9 which worked well for many years, but isn't compatible with Vista. Norton support was there when I needed them. I can only compare it to MS back-up which never worked for me when I needed it. Don't bother with MS.
