3 out of 5 stars IF you buy it, buy it for the Wiimote, not the lame.. I mean, "game" : P   July 6, 2008
Yeah, "lame" is definitely the word I would use to describe the overall "game" disc in WiiPlay. The cow racing game is easily the best of the bunch, IMHO. There are other games with some potential, but the whole initial introduction to the set of games on this disc is full-on tutorial style, so Nintendo somewhat shot themselves in the foot with that if they wanted the mini games on this disc to be perceived as anything BUT a tutorial. That's how you're introduced to them, so that's how they remained in my mind. Oh, and, FYI, the games ARE either one or two player, so you're not required to drag anyone else along with you on the torturous journey that is slogging through the initial disc setup/game unlocking stage.

Considering that I've logged plenty of hours on my Wii in gameplay prior to getting this, utilizing most if not all of the usage methods presented in "Wiiplay", nothing on this disc was any help to me, and the "fun" factor is definitely lacking in the majority of these games.

If you need an additional Wiimote, and you're thinking of buying this simply because it comes with a game and is only a few dollars more, go ahead, especially if you have a few extremely young Wii players that hang out in your space on a regular basis, for whom you need something SUPER simple all around. If, however, you're likely to be bitter about being gypped out of a few extra bucks with very little to show for it, just go for the straight Wiimote, and bypass this entirely. "Wii Play"'s only real redeeming quality is the extra Wiimote itself, and perhaps a game or two on here out of the nine. Just keep in mind that the games here are nowhere near as good as any of the WiiWare or Virtual Console games that you can download for easily the same five to ten bucks extra you're paying for the Wii Play game disc.

1 out of 5 stars Save $10...just buy the remote   July 5, 2008
The game is really lame. Save yourself $10 and just buy a remote separately. Use your ten bucks and buy a book.

I luv the mini games, they are very fun especially when you play with friends in parties. Great value with the remote!

3 out of 5 stars Wii Play   June 29, 2008
The games are ok - not as good as I thought they would be but great for younger kids.

Great Amazon service (as usual). Great price and lots of fun to play.
Just drop the dvd in the slot and the instructions are very simple to understand.
