Editorial Reviews:

Product Description
Nyko's Charge Station for Wii is a great wayto save money on batteries. This dock features twin rechargeable battery packs for the Wii Remote -- just connect the Wii Remotes and let them sit until you're ready to play. Charges two Wiimotes at once.

2 out of 5 stars Poor battery life, replacements are $10 each   July 5, 2008
This product is pretty good, except that the rechargeable batteries have a short life-span (mine lasted only 4 months) and replacements are $10 each, so if you use your Wii about as much as I do, it is going to cost you $60 per year in replacement batteries for 2 Wii remotes. I very much doubt this is a better value than using a general-purpose rechargeable battery in the remote.

1 out of 5 stars Peice of Garbage.   July 5, 2008
I bought this at target and when i brought it home i wanted to test it out. I put the controller in and it got stuck, when i pulled it out the metal pins riped right off. Cheap Chinese made piece of junk.

5 out of 5 stars THIS IS WII ESSENTIAL   July 3, 2008
I wasn't sure with the some of the other comments if this would be worth trying, but have given it five stars, because it is so simple to use, built well, and I just gently place the Wii Mote in the slot and it contacts each and every time perfectly and charges perfectly. I am playing about three hours a day, for fitness training, and this charging station is AN ESSENTIAL!!!!

5 out of 5 stars AWESOME   June 27, 2008

It is sooo nice not to have to keep recharging my doulbe a batteries individually anymore! This charger works great and saves the hassle of having to wait when you want to play!

4 out of 5 stars A Must Have!   June 26, 2008
This is a MUST HAVE, although it does have a couple flaws that I'll discuss later. I'd actually give this a 4.5 but that option wasn't available.

When we first got our Wii, we used rechargable batteries but they died pretty fast and sometimes at critical stages of the game. The day that Mario ran straight off the moving pads and plunged to his virtual death in the swirling black vortex of Super Mario Galaxy because the batteries died was the day I got on Amazon and purchased this item!

PROS: the cradle is nice and compact (about 6"x3") and fits unobtrusively just about anywhere; it feels solid - like it's high quality; the batteries and new battery cover are very easy to install; your Wii-mote stays fully charged all the time; a light turns from blue to green to let you know the Wii-motes are fully charged.

CONS: you can't use the new rubber skins that come with the Wii-motes while it's on the charging cradle (you can put it on afterwards, however, because it fits over the new battery cover); you have to make sure the wrist strap is pulled to the side so that the battery can get a good connection with the charger when you place it in the cradle - you will know this has happened when you hear a little click and the blue light comes on.

So, the cons do NOT by any means outweigh the pros on this one. I can't tell you how happy it makes me to not worry about the batteries or get that annoying bleep and pop-up when one of the Wii-motes is running low. Or worse yet have it die mid-game. To sum it up, Wii love it!!!!!!
