Editorial Review WWF Attitude is just like its subjects: big. Over 40 World Wrestling Federation wrestlers--with bigger-than-life bodies and personalities to match--take to the ring, including The Rock, Stone Cold Steve Austin, The Undertaker, D-Generation X and Triple H. Wrestle as an individual or tag team, create your own pay-per-view event, or choose from a wide variety of options for matches and gameplay. As the wrestlers comes out, their theme music is played, and they go through their trademark moves. From there the action gets a little slow. While the crowd sounds very realistic, the actual moves are executed rather slowly. Plus Acclaim has included a function that causes the wrestlers to lock arms if they get too close. This is designed to keep a player from using the same moves over and over again. It doesn't work--an entire match can be won by just hitting the kick button. What it does do is force numerous arm locks that do little damage and can turn monotonous. However, executing a great move like a body slam is cool--when it works. Hard-core professional wrestling fans will appreciate the accurate character models and faithful reproductions of signature moves of their favorite wrestlers. While those who are into fast and furious wrestling action will be better served looking elsewhere, fans who enjoy watching the pros will enjoy this game's cinematic attitude. --Allen Stewart Pros: - Excellent graphics
- Great crowd noise
- Awesome moves--when they work
- Huge cast of wrestlers
Cons: - Slow gameplay
- Same basic move used over and over
- Basic moves are slow, and exciting moves are hard to execute

Great voicework (not much else) April 28, 2007 1 out of 1 found this review helpful
This game is only worth checking out for the great voiceover work. The gameplay itself is pretty bad. If you can pick this game up cheap, do it.
WWF Attitude August 16, 2005 This game is boring. The characaters are stupid and so is the game with the worst graphics in history. All the wrestlers walk like their on crack and talk even worse!
not a bad game at but not da best either July 26, 2005 1 out of 1 found this review helpful
wwf attitude is a great game with incredicle graphic at da time i loved da create da wrestler program n da game where u can create austin powers or urself it is just flat out cool and i enjoyed da play by play commentary from shane and the king it would have been much better if they would have had jr add as commenter in this game because jr is one of da best commenters of da decade in my opinion it would have been a little wiser 2 da smackdown and have michael and king do play by play commentary because when this game was released it n da late summer early autumn of 1999 it was the first year of smackdown i don't understand y there didn't have any ladder matches or hica matches involved in this game or what about the wrestlers entrance video they only have the wrestlers music while this game is good it has its flawless as well i dig the catchphrase from my favorite wrestlers when they are getting their (...) kicked da rock in particular is very funny at times when he get his (...) kick or is laying da rockdown on da jamboni y didn't they have da big show y didn't they have stephanie mcmahon or vince mcmahon y didn't there have a refree in the match y didn't they have a storymode 2 make this game more realistic y wasn't there blood when the wrestlers would get there tails kick during hardcore matches how come da ppv arena didn;t look like da wwf ppv arenas they should have had more ppv arenas like i said a little earlier how come da controller wasn't easy as wm 2000 or wwf no mercy however the game has decent crowd reaction like da real wwf i have 2 admit da crowd reaction 2 da wrestlers is more realistic than wwf wm 2000 or wwf no mercy i remember playing this game on a friday and saturday night late during da spring and summer of 2001 when i didn't have never 2 do so i can't complain much because this game has always been there for me when i needed it da most
WWF Attitude July 11, 2005 1 out of 1 found this review helpful
WWF Attitude was a good solid Sony game with lots of fun things to do in it. There was blood, create a PPV mode, lots of match types, good career mode and lots of other great things. I will now sum up some of the basic pros and cons.
Pros- 1)Great roster including such wrestlers as Undertaker,Rock,Mankind,Kane,Stone Cold,D-X,Shawn Michaels and many more. 2)Blood. 3)Many match types such as Hardcore,I Quit,Last Man Standing,First Blood,Stable Match,Survivor Series,Gauntlet & Tag Gauntlet and many more. 4)Nice Career mode with three different belts you have to win before you can become the ultimate champion. 5)Nice long lasting and always worth a laugh on. 6)Lots of good moves to do at anytime in lots of positions. 7)Very advanced.
Cons- 1)Moves are hard to execute. 2)Create A Wrestler doesn't have very much you can do. 3)Never being able to follow this game up with a sequel of such. 4)The ability to have the same wrestler all the time versing each other. 5)Not the greatest graphics especially with the blood on the wrestler.
This game is really good and its very nolstalgic. Its definetly worth the money and if you can get it really cheap thats even better. This is one of the greatest most brutal games ever mode for wrestling in my opinion.
