The C800 Advantix camera from Kodak is an Advanced Photo System camera with point-and-shoot simplicity. It features a 27-80mm motorized zoom lens and infrared autofocusing, letting you snap photos from 2 feet and beyond. A pop-up flash fires automatically in low-light situations and fires away from the lens, reducing red-eye. Auto close prevents washout photos, and multibeam focusing keeps your subject in focus when taking wide-angle pictures. The flash folds down when the camera is off and serves as a protective lens cap.The Kodak C800 records lighting and color data on the film's magnetic strip for the photo lab to use when developing, and it imprints each shot with time and date. Because this camera is a member of the APS line, it offers three print formats--classic, group, and panoramic. The viewfinder displays your selected picture format. The Kodak C800 automatically advances and rewinds film, and the safety interlock prevents the door from opening until the roll is completely rewound. The timer allows you to take self-portraits or to include yourself in group shots. Kodak's midroll change feature lets you change film speed or remove and reload a film cassette.  Replacement August 14, 2007
This was a replacement purchase for the same camera we owned for 5 years that had been damaged. We are very pleased with the replacement.

I would love to write you a review of my new Kodak C800 Advantix Camera which I purchased from Cambridgeworld on 6/9/07. However to date (7/13/07) I have still not received my product and so have no idea how good it is.
I am getting very little help or answers from the seller so I am very frustrated and annoyed at this stage.
I hope that is not an indication of the trouble I would have with the camera (IF AND) when it does arrive.

The whole process was rapid and very satisfactory. The item was described properly and received in wonderful condition. It is now well used and should I lose my camera again, I would return to Amazon for a replacement.
Couldn't be happier March 23, 2007
I was replacing a previous Advantix that I had for quite sometime. I am very pleased with the camera and the customer service when the gentlemen from the store called was very good. I was so pleased that I was able to find a replacement from you. For my picture taking purposes, the Advantix has everything. The new one I just got has even more features than the first one.

I bought this camera over three years ago, and it never once failed me. It has several useful features, like portrait mode, red-eye reduction (though that's pretty standard in a camera nowadays, it seems), and the ability to take different sizes of pictures. I found the panoramic size to be especially nice. If you plan to take a lot of pictures at night, expect to receive clear, bright results with the camera's night mode. I took a picture in the pitch dark using night mode, and it looks as though the picture was taken in daylight! The self-timer and various flash modes are great, too. Moreover, the camera is very easy to use--once you read the manual, that is. However, one thing to keep in mind is that Advantix film is usually more expensive than regular 35 mm film.
