Good Camera for price, lots of options. August 5, 2008 As a current and always canon camera owner, I had to go with this one. It takes great pictures in point and shoot mode, and you don't have to wait like when using a kodak digital camera.
It has a lot of neat features like a color filter, where you can select a color from your shot, and filter on that color and it shoots that black and white with highlights in that color.
The only feature I miss in comparison to my old Canon, is the adjustable flash. This only has 2 flash settings; on or off.
Overall, I am very happy with this camera. It is small, takes great pictures, and was affordable.
Very good camera. August 5, 2008 Was very usefull in my last vacation, I can took more than 1 hour of video and more than 1,000 photos... I recomend this product.
Love and Hate August 4, 2008 Had this camera for a couple of weeks...and was really liking it. I took it on a backpacking trip where the lens decided to stop working. Canon took it back and is working on it now. Lets see if they try to charge me even if its under warranty.
Very pleased!!! August 2, 2008 After researching long and hard for a digital camera, I decided to purchase the Canon PowerShot SD850. I am very pleased with the camera. The camera actually exceeded my expectations. It takes really good pictures, the zoom feature works better than I thought it would, and it is very user friendly. I chose this model over some of the other Canon models because it has a viewfinder which I think is an important feature. It's useful in case the battery starts running low and you still need to take pictures but don't want to use the LCD screen.
Awesome Camera! August 1, 2008 2 out of 2 found this review helpful
I've only had this camera for 3 weeks and so far I'm very impressed. It's very user friendly. I like the fact that it has Auto,Manual and Scene settings. So far, I have only used the kids & pets and the foilage settings, the results are great. I have a Kodak digital camera and everytime I went to use it the AA batteries were dead. So the battery pack is a major plus for me. The software is easily downloadable and easy to use. As an avid outdoorsman I can't wait to take pictures this fall with the foilage setting. I played with the macro setting on this camera and WOW it is really cool. Overall,so far, I really am glad I made this purchase.
