This head is rated to support hand held cameras up to 7.5 lb, and includes a large quick release camera platform that measures 2 x 3". The quick release mount is designed to be compatible with the Stroboframe quick release system, so that Stroboframe brackets can be mounted directly on this head.

I have rated this ball head low because it is advertised as being 4 ounces but is actually very heavy - nearly 1 pound by my kitchen scales. It looks quite sturdy, but that's to be expected from 1 pound of solid metal.
