Description Count the number of truly classic animated films and the list would begin with Walt Disney's PINOCCHIO. C. Collodi's brilliant story of a little puppet who dreams of being a real boy unfolds as a shining example of vivid, rich, detailed Disney animation at its finest! An unforgettable cast of characters includes the spry Jiminy Cricket; kindly old Geppetto; the sneaky J. Worthington Foulfellow; a terrifying whale named Monstro; and, of course, the little puppet made of wood, Pinocchio. Coupled with the haunting theme song "When You Wish Upon A Star," you have a timeless, unparalleled film adventure for anyone who has a dream in their heart.
Amazon.com essential video This Disney masterpiece from 1940 will hold up forever precisely because it doesn't restrain or temper the most elemental emotions and themes germane to its story. Based on the Collodi tale about a wooden puppet who wants to become a real boy, Pinocchio is among the most magical, mythical, and frightening films to come from the studio in its long history. A number of scenes make permanent impressions on young minds (just ask Steven Spielberg, who quoted the film more than once in Close Encounters of the Third Kind), and the songs ("When You Wish upon a Star") can't be beat. --Tom Keogh

Help! Trying to find a seller for a Pinocchio DVD that works! September 3, 2008 I have been getting the run around all summer. If anyone can help me find a good seller for a Pinocchio DVD that works, I would appreciate it very much.
Carmen's movie June 18, 2008 1 out of 1 found this review helpful
The first time my Carmen saw this movie she was mesmerized, just like I remember seeing it for the first time. She loves Jimminie Cricket. This was one of my own mother's favorite movie, and she is named after my mom, and to see her little face light up, that was a real treasure and treat.
Not real June 14, 2008 well, this was not a real Disney copy of the movie. Plays fine. But for the price I expected a authentic Disney copy
A delight April 20, 2008 1 out of 2 found this review helpful

Pinnochio January 21, 2008 0 out of 4 found this review helpful
I'm a grandmother and watching the video took me back to my childhood days. I bought Pinnochio for my four year old grandson--the animation is old technology--not of the quality young children have come to expect... it frightened him and did not hold his interest. I do not recommend it for small children...
