Buyer beware...! October 5, 2008 1 out of 4 found this review helpful
Warning...this is the season that contains the abyssmal "Behind the Laughter" espisode. It's so unfunny, and wallows in it's own ineptness, to the degree that even die-hard fans began hoping for the cancellation of the show (so that it didn't become diluted with lame newer episodes thrown into the synication mix, which is exactly what happened). This is the first really bad season of this once great comedy, which literally sparked off the animation revolution of the 90's. The best writers had bailed to work on Futurama....sigh....and that was pretty much it for the classic Simpsons era. If you own the first 10, why would you want to shell out for this?
As Krusty would say October 5, 2008 1 out of 8 found this review helpful
I can pull a better cartoon out of my... hey hey! Not a very good season and you are better off spending your money elsewhere.
finally you figured out the box! September 27, 2008 3 out of 7 found this review helpful
ok, i have read all of the other reviews. i won't go into details about the show or this season because everyone else has, and as a life long, seen every episode, die hard simpsons fan, i have nothing negative to say... but noone has mentioned this... what was up with the dual box decision i had to make with the seasons??? maybe i'm the only one this bothered? ... the first 5 seasons were packaged in a box just like all other dvd's and i was totally ok with that... then season 6 brought us the 'homer head' box. call me an o.c.d. freak, but that drove me nuts! imagine my relief when i opened the head and found out i could mail away for a normal box! whew! then season 7 - 10, head or box??? again, i had to go with the box, because i want all of my seasons to be the same, but felt a little left out that the head boxes were so cool looking... finally it looks like they mixed the 2 ideas and got it right for season 11!!!
I say long live the Simpsons August 27, 2008 4 out of 10 found this review helpful
And I wish you people out there will stop wishing for this show to end. Because, if it does, do you what we'll end up with? Ya, that's right, another lame "reality" show. So please, watch the show, or just turn your tv on when the Simpsons is on so it will get the ratings. Do you really want another show with bimbos and mimbos trying to jump each other's bones? You'll be begging to get the Simpsons back on tv.
Well, you'll never save Grampa's farm with that attitude. August 26, 2008 1 out of 4 found this review helpful
It's the season that gave us the great Last Tap Dance in Springfield...Lil Vicky! the Mexican Milhouse who must once again sugar his own churro! Freduardo! the cat that dances better than Lisa! and of course Tappa Tappa Tappa! What's not to love. Sorry, folks, Season 4 is over but it's still way the heck better than anything else out there.
