Editorial Reviews:

From the Manufacturer
The Pulstar pulse plug represents the first technological advancement in spark plug design in the past 100 years. Enerpulse, the manufacturer of the Pulstar pulse plug, develops environmentally-friendly ignition products through the application of Pulsed Power Technology (PPT). Pulstar pulse plugs were designed to increase peak power of the spark plug so it can ignite gasoline in the engine's cylinder more completely with less cycle-to-cycle variation. The result is more engine torque, more horsepower, and better fuel economy.

Test results show significant improvements over spark plugs.

Better Fuel Economy
Pulstar pulse plugs improve engine efficiency at the very moment of ignition by increasing the spark volume and energy density. Increasing the energy density of the spark makes ignition more precise with less cycle-to-cycle variation resulting in better fuel economy and driving performance than available from spark plugs.

Increase Horsepower and Torque
Pulstar pulse plugs look and fit like spark plugs, but incorporate an internal capacitor to deliver a spark 10 times more powerful than a spark plug. This faster ignition burns more of the fuel in the combustion chamber, generating more pressure in the cylinder. The increased cylinder pressure pushes the piston down with more force, which in turn, generates more torque to the crankshaft, more liveliness to the throttle, and more power to the wheels.

The Pulse circuit releases a powerful pulse of power.

Test Data
Recent tests demonstrate that Pulstar pulse plugs improved the fuel economy on 2005 and 2007 Prius Hybrid vehicles by 6% to 8%, or approximately 3-mpg. This 3-mpg increase produced by Pulstar means that over its life of approximately 4 years, carbon dioxide greenhouse gas emissions will be reduced by 1,344 pounds or over half a ton, making it evident even small changes like changing your spark plugs can translate into big differences for the planet.

Product Guarantee
Pulstar pulse plugs are safe to use in all vehicles. They come with a 30-day no questions asked return policy and are guaranteed not to void your car's manufacturer warranty or damage your engine when properly installed.

5 out of 5 stars GREAT SPARK PLUGS!!!   October 1, 2008
These spark plugs work. I've seen around 50 miles more out of my tank. Can definitely feel more power out of my car.

3 out of 5 stars Pulstar Plugs   October 1, 2008
These plugs seem to perform OK. No dramatic improvement in fuel economy, however; only a slight improvement. These plugs are extremely fragile when installing them. Be very careful; DO NOT use a spark plug socket - you must use a standard deep well socket or the ceramic will fracture.

1 out of 5 stars PULSTAR SPARK PLUGS - BEWARE !   September 19, 2008
BEWARE! This product almost destroyed engine. Installed plugs as recommended, drove for approximately one week when suddenly my engine started to stall and engine light came on. Immediately stopped and had vehicle towed. Mechanic stated that one plug ran too hot and destroyed wires with plug also destroyed. Initial cost $80.00, Final cost $350 for tow, new plugs, new wires, and mechanic.

1 out of 5 stars did not work at all   September 1, 2008

2006 Acura RSX-Type S, 2.0l I-VTEC 4cyl. I followed all instructions, they installed fine, started engine and the plugs immediately threw a CEL. Engine idle timing dropped to 150RPM, car sputtered and stalled, big puff of black smoke from the tailpipe. Started up again, same issue, jumped on the gas and attempted to drive around the block. Stalled twice, idle would not go above 1000RPM (engine has a 7900RPM rev limit). Immediately took them out, replaced with stock IR Denso, which my car was grateful for. All better now, but I don't know what the heck these plugs did. They did not work at all in my car.

1 out of 5 stars Disappointed   September 1, 2008
I have a 2003 VW Jetta 1.8t. I gapped these to specification and they ended up frying one of my coil packs. I tried several times to install and get them to work, but they never did.
Perhaps they need a different gapping, but if I'm spending $100 for spark plugs, I shouldn't have to try 3 times to install them.
I hope Pulstar compiles some sort of database that a consumer could look up and see what gapping the plugs need. I read anywhere from .25 to .32 works on my engine (w/ pulstar plugs).
I wish they would have worked.
