This is an amazing little charger that literally breathes new life into your failing DeWalt batteries. It revitalizes everything from 9.6 volts through the big 18-volters, but what's so great about this charger is that not only can it be used as a standard quick charger, but if you leave a worn-down battery in for four to 10 hours, the charger conditions the battery with a tune-up mode, and at completion, it automatically converts to trickle charge, so you'll never damage a battery by leaving it in the charger too long.Diagnostics with LED indicators give you the battery status at a glance: charged, charging, power line problem, replace pack, and battery too hot or too cold. DEWALT DW9116 7.2-Volt to 18-Volt Pod Style 1 Hour Battery Charger Bought two of these at one time. Works great as they are supossed to but I noticed on thing after starting to use for the first time, the little yellow refurbish button is nowhere to be found, it's in the photo but not on the units I received. But in the end, I wanted the charger to recharge my 12 volt batteries, and they do that just fine.

This charger is more than I hoped it would be. After ordering chargers for my Black and Decker Power Storm Tools on 4 previous occasions I came upon the chargers in Amazon.com There were reviews thst suggested the DeWalt and that it was the superior one so of course I ordered it instead of the Black and Decker and I am glad that I did. IT IS FAR SUPERIOR AND ABOVE ALL IT LASTED MORE THAN ONE CHARGE AS THE PREVIOUS ONES BURN'T OUT OR STOPPED FUNCTIONING AFTER THE FIRST CHARGE. Wish I had seen your site before the other 4 were bought.

When the DeWalt charger arrived there was a problem with the plug-it sparked when plugged in. I called and the next day had a return label (pre-paid) sent to me via e-mail to return it. A replacement followed (I asked them to check it befoe sending it) and it works just fine. They were easy to contact and the service was very good !!
And..what a savings !!!
