Product Description Moby Wrap Baby Carriers are amazingly comfortable and easy to wear! The design of the Moby Wrap uses your entire back, as well as your shoulders, to carry the weight of your baby. Unlike other carriers, which have narrow straps or go across one shoulder, the Moby Wrap is a wide piece of fabric that is wrapped over both shoulders and tied on your waist. There are no buckles, snaps or other fasteners which make wearing simple. The Moby Wrap is long enough to fit all sizes of baby wearers and babies - preemie to 35 lbs.Instructional Booklet Included.

Highly recommended October 11, 2008 The Moby Wrap was recommended to me by my friend with four kids, so I bought one for myself when our daughter was born. This purchase was a gift for a friend with a new baby. For me, the best quality is that it distributes the baby's weight over a greater area, causing less strain on my neck and shoulders. I am tall with a very small frame, so carrying her in my arms for more than a few minutes is painful, and she was only 6 lbs 2 oz. The Moby is also better for small babies vs a sling or front carrier -- I never worry about her neck support in the Moby. Our baby is very active, so she is not always in the mood to be so constrained. I improvise by placing her more upright and allowing her legs and above her shoulders to be out of the wrap, but then it isn't really hands-free since she can't fully support her head yet. It is still very helpful, though, since it still distributes the weight and leaves me with one hand free. The price seemed kind of high before I received it, for "just a long piece of fabric." But there is a LOT of fabric, and it is nice quality. Althought I use a sling and front carrier for some activities, I think the Moby is a must.
Disapointed October 7, 2008 I was very excited about this wrap. I have a 2 1/2 yr. old and I knew I was going to need both hands to be able to tend to my daughter w/o leaving my baby boy alone in the process. I also was taking a trip across the country for a family reunion when my son was only 1 month old and I figured this would be great while traveling through the airport, etc. Once you get the hang of it putting this on was pretty easy but I did practice several times at home first. Well let me rephrase - it's easy when you aren't in a hurry and you have plenty of room to manuver - when you are in an airport setting in a hurry with 2 small kids this thing is extremely frustrating. If you didn't take the time to get it perfect it was either very uncomfortable for me or my baby or it didn't feel secure enough so I was basically carrying him anyway until I got to a place where I could completely start over. Also it is very hot - I was traveling in August and every time I took it off I had a sweat outline from where it was on my clothes. I went back to using my snugli (backpack style carrier) which is much easier, once you have all the straps adjusted to where you want them all you have to do is put the baby in & snap 2 clips, which takes about 30-45 seconds. I do still use the wrap occasionally when I'm at home and I have the time & space to put my son in it, but for ease while I'm out and about I definitely use the other carrier.
take it or leave it October 7, 2008 The Moby is FAR overpriced for what it is: a glorified piece of fabric. My baby likes it occasionally. Most the time, however, he feels far to crunched in there and wants out (he's 2 months old). save your money!
I use my Moby every day October 1, 2008 For the price of a Baby Bjorn you can buy two Moby wraps and have one in the wash! I work in a metropolitan area so my daughter and I ride public transportation a lot and the Moby has been a life saver. She was born rather small (5lbs) and wouldn't fit in most conventional carriers. I chose the Moby after extensive research on slings and wraps and chose it because of its durability, versatility, lack of hardware, wash-ability, back-saving configuration, and economical price. It took about 10 minutes to figure out how to tie it correctly, then about a weeks worth of trials to find and perfect our signature hold. After that, I can get the wrap on and off in a matter of seconds. It does get pretty warm in the summer but since I live in the north east, I was able to wear very light clothing and use it most of the summer. My daughter is currently about 20 lbs and we still use it every day. If the ends get dirty, it isn't that big a deal since the ends don't normally touch the baby and the wrap is machine washable. It tends to shrink a little in the wash but this is great if you've been using it for a while and it gets a really stretched. It rolls up nicely to fit in a diaper bag but will take up a lot of room. I'm stopped constantly by people wanting to know about this wrap. I've referred many people to purchase the Moby warning that it does have a learning curve, but in my opinion is one of the best products out there and you really can't beat the price! If you're undecided, Google "sling comparison" for more information - one website has an easy to understand chart comparing pouch, wrap, ring, asian, and the bjorn style carriers.
little girl loves it! September 22, 2008 I decided to buy the moby wrap after reading such good reviews about it. It arrived so quick! Overall I love it; my only complaint, and it's a small one, is that it's a bit bulky on me being small (5 ft and small frame). My 3 month old daughter loves it though, and it makes it much easier to get things accomplished during the day!
