Product Description

This attractive box includes The Beauty Buyble book and dozens of amazing product samples you won't be able to wait to get your hands on! Indulge yourself--and find out what products work best for your hair, skin, and face!

Going to the cosmetic counter can be one of the most abusive experiences in a woman's daily routing. Where else do you pay for the privilege of being told, “You need a new look”? The salesperson, who has no clue about what's right for you, sells you $150 worth of makeup and skin care products you may not need or that may irritate your skin. How do you know which mascara truly lengthens, curls, or offers the blackest black? Which lipstick really does stay on all day without drying your lips?

The Beauty Buyble is a one-step reference to the year's best beauty buys and products. It takes out the guesswork, making it easier for you to find the best hair care, makeup, skin care, and beauty tools available on the market. This helpful, accessible book lists product in the low-, middle-, and high-end price range so you can find the item that's right for you and that will truly enhance your beauty. The clean, concise format helps you find just what you need -- and the authors offer advice from celebrity hair stylists, makeup artists, and real women to help you get the best out of your beauty purchases!

Includes tips and secrets from the top names in beauty!

Sally Hershberger, celebrity stylist and spokesperson for John Frieda
Oscar Blandi, celebrity stylist
Rebecca Restrepo, New York-based makeup artist
Mark Garrison, celebrity stylist
Katherine Hickland, owner and founder of Cat Cosmetics
Orlando Pita, celebrity stylist
Lorri Goddard-Clark, celebrity colorist
Dr. Dennis Gross, dermatologist in New York City
Carla Kay, Cloutier celebrity manicurist

5 out of 5 stars Exactly what I wanted   July 2, 2008
I got exactly what I wanted with all the samples like 50+ and the guide book which totally helped and listen to this. So of the best products only cost a dollar. I know thats like impossible to find these days but belive it or not. this book has all the best products for all the different price ranges from high to medium to low so you'll find the write items for you and your price range!

3 out of 5 stars Not as great as I expected   March 27, 2008
I bought this book because I am addicted to beauty products. Unfortunately this book is mostly about items you buy in the drug store and some brands that I have never heard of. I don't feel that the book gives enough choices - I wish it would have had a drug store section and a higher end section. The samples that come with it are not ones that I would use - I was expecting more.

5 out of 5 stars Great gift idea   March 6, 2008
I bought several of these for last minute, on hand gifts and they are great for little gift exchanges, chinese auctions or that certain gal that you have no idea what to get. For $20 you get a bunch of great samples that are fun to play with, who doesn't like samples?! I also ended up giving one to my sister and she seemed to really enjoy it. She is just now becoming more 'high maintenence', starting to really experiment with make-up and skin care so this was a nice little treat for her.

4 out of 5 stars Sample gift   September 5, 2007

I purchaed this item for myself and then as gifts for my daughters. Since they are difficult to buy for, it was a fun gift -- like an adult play kit. Most of the tips were basic but there are always a few new things to learn from the book.

I look forward to a new edition.

3 out of 5 stars Great samples, mediocre information   August 20, 2007

This item is worth the money for the samples alone. They are mostly full size and all are interesting, though not perhaps what you would buy. The information regarding cosmetics and skin care products is not worthless, but it doesn't seem much more scientific or informed than advice from a friend you hardly know. Some of their choices, based on my own personal experience, are certainly not how I would have ranked or evaluated the products. So buy this for the samples and consider the information to be their personal opinions. A beauty advisor at Sephora's or Ulta would likely be a better guide to choices for a particular individual.
