Product Description THE JOURNEY IS THE REWARD Trading Ordinary. For Extraordinary is the tale of how two young educators from California, Bryan and Carrie Bershee, along with their two dogs, left the work-a-day world for a year of cruising Baja Mexico on their sailboat, "Salty Dog." Their heart-felt, funny, and information packed stories will keep you turning the page and realize that if they can do it, maybe you can, too! Read about the friends they made, the mishaps they experienced, and the tremendous perspective they gained about what is important to them. This is the most informational and inspirational book of its kind, all while remaining a fun and easy read.

Phenominal! November 4, 2008 I am so jealous of Carrie and Bryon and this book is a great example of what it is really like to drop it all and try a dream! It gives great detail and suggestions for preparations (not to mention yummy recipes ideal for on a boat or on land). The book makes me that much closer to doing it myself!
What a Sea Story !!!! September 20, 2008 Trading Ordinary..For Extraordinary gives the reader an honest and realistic view of what it's like to cast off those dock lines and head out. So many sailors dream of going cruising, but Carrie and Bryan actually lived the dream. They've done an outstanding job of sharing the highs and the lows one can expect to encounter when cruising to Mexico. Anyone planning to head south on a boat should definitely read this book to really get an idea of what to expect......
