Very Good Read January 6, 2009 This is a very good read...it's a little different than Iris Johansen's regular books since she wrote it with her son. But, it's a very good easy read. I highly recommend it.
Silent Thunder December 29, 2008 Silent Thunder Iris Johansen has captured the attention of multiple family members from the first time I passed on one of her books. This book is no exception. From the first page until the last, your focus is entirely on the intrigue unfolding in front of you. It was hard to put down and you didn't want it to end.
Comic-book-like characters and dialogue November 3, 2008 2 out of 2 found this review helpful
Unnatural dialogue, a completely unrealistic plot (a nuclear-powered submarine is supposedly being prepared for public exhibit by a maritime museum), and comic-book-like characters.
Having been tempted to stop reading several times in the first few pages, I finally quit when, on page 35, the implausible brother accuses his implausible marine-architect sister of having developed a "father complex" focused on the last captain of the sub--just from a photograph of the dead captain.
I recommend that you waste neither your time nor your money on this book.
Loud & Clear October 30, 2008 I highly recommend this book. It is one of the best. Good combination of mother and son.Hope they do more
Very Interestering October 19, 2008 Different from the books I usually read. But holds your interest right up till the end.
