Product Description Three months after Lachlan slew the Emperor Allarun, the Eleion are on the verge of civil war. Torn between their hatred for the half-blood king and their duty to him, two of the clans renounce their loyalty in the hopes of destroying the alliance. In the midst of negotiations, disaster strikes. A daring raid and kidnapping of Lachlan s queen forces Lachlan to confront Allarun s son, Vaurgar. Half demon and part god, Vaurgar has found a talisman so powerful that it can destroy Lachlan. Lachlan agrees to Vaurgar s terms in the hope of saving his queen and unborn son. As he sets out on a mission of rescue, a mysterious half-blooded girl offers to lead him to Vaurgar, for a price. And that price may cost him more than his life...

This is Maggie Bonham, again. Runestone of Teiwas is a standalone sequel to the novel, Prophecy of Swords which I also wrote. Don't be concerned about buying Runestone alone (although I'd be excited if you bought both.) This book is what happens after Prophecy of Swords, and life is never happily ever after in my books, let me assure you.
Lachlan's troubles have just begun with the clans on the verge of a rebellion, his enemy's son (who is part demon) still alive and looking to exact vengeance, and his own personality not quite meshed. Well, throw into it the kidnapping of his wife and unborn son, -- and you get an idea. Now, he must put his trust in a woman who has demons of her own in order to save those he loves. But the sacrifice she requires from him may be more than even he is willing to give.
Library Journal calls the characters in Runestone of Teiwas "Sympathetic and compelling." Check out this book. I know you'll enjoy it.
