Product Description Bubba gets his hand out of his pants and reaches for the stars Most of civilization in ruins, Yumbies (yuppie zombies) running around chomping on the brains of Bubba kind, oh what s a red-blooded, NASCAR-watching, tobacco-chewing American to do? Well... ain t no guards on NASA secret government lavatories, and all sorts of scientific thingy-ma-bobs, so it s time for Bubbas to spread their wings, reach for the stars, and tinker with things... well, that they probably shouldn t be f@#$%^g around with. Bubbas in space, with time machines, dealing with aliens, building robots to save them from Yumbies... Why this here might jus be the funniest @#$% Bubbas of the Apocalypse book yet.

Bubbas In Space August 25, 2007 Yard Dog Press seems to have hit publishing gold with the Bubbas of the Apocalypse series, of which this is the latest offering. Imagine a world inhabited by Bubbas and Yumbies (yuppie zombies) and reaching out to space. Too horrible to contemplate? Maybe, but worth a lot of laughs.
As Maggie Bonham has said, the titles alone are almost worth the price of the book. And I'll brag on Maggie's story, because she's too well-mannered to brag on it. Damned fine story. I found a lot of high-quality stories in the collect and, again, no real dogs, something I rarely find outside of a Yard Dog collection. I'd like to give special mention to Bill Allen's "The Planet of the Hill-Apes," Selina Rosen's closer, and a bunch more. I know this is the beginning of careers for some of the writers and it gives me more names to search out for future reading. And, no, I don't have a story in this one, so my only prejudice is liking to laugh a lot.
Funniest Bubbas Yet! August 14, 2007 If you're a Bubbas of the Apocalypse fan (and even if you aren't) buy this book!
Ok, so I'm the author of one of the stories, but really, I'd buy this book even if I didn't have a story in it. Think Bubbas, think Apocalypse and Yuppie Zombies, and think Outer-frickin'-Space and you get the idea. You get classy stories such as "It Came from Willie McCracken's Buttocks" and "How Tom Hanks Saved My Baby from the Moon" and "Possum Love, Princess of Mars" (and if these titles don't make you hit that 1-Click order button, nothing will!)
This is truly a delightful collection. Don't forget to check out the other Bubbas books including Bubbas of the Apocalypse, the Four Bubbas of the Apocalypse, and the International House of Bubbas.
It's a right good thing.
