Product Description Hey kids! If 30-minute meals are good, wouldn't 30-second meals be even better? You bet they would! And EVERY FREAKING! DAY WITH RACHELL RAY makes this dream a reality!
This 64-page, full-color parody of the super-caffeinated media phenomenon Rachael Ray doesn't merely mimic the tone of the megastar's monthly magazine, daily talk show, multiple Food Network shows and countless ad campaigns, it nails it!
Bestselling author Elizabeth Hilts captures Rachael's perky exuberance, her "casual" approach to cooking and her irrepressible and wholly unique Rayisms.

Go-to Laughter! October 9, 2008 1 out of 1 found this review helpful
Want some relief from Obama vs. McCain? Want a break from the economic turmoil? Want a delightful hour or two snorting at absurdity? Read Elizabeth Hilts's Every Freaking Day with Rachell Ray. Keep it by your favorite chair or next to your placemat on the kitchen table. That's what I do. And every time I pick it up, I get a laugh or two or ten. Hilts has nailed RR: the patois, the over-the-top energy, the mannerisms and gestures. My favorite pages? Hmm, not fair to make me choose. But if forced to, and based on how my copy opens automatically to page 26, I'd have to say it's the We Are Fam-i-ly! chapter. Freakin' hilarious. I swear on my stack of RR cookbooks that I'll never again be able to watch her on TV without cracking up (or groaning). Hilts has changed that forever with her insightful parody... Can parody be insightful? Well hey! How stupid is that? Hello, of course it can! Seriously, kids, when I grow up I want to be as talented as Elizabeth Hilts.
Way Freaking! Funny. September 19, 2008 1 out of 1 found this review helpful

Sure, creating and tasting just one of the many recipes included may, if fact, make you vomit but that is truly not the intent. Grab a very large bottle of vino and a deep glass, cuddle up on the couch, open the cover, and enjoy.
Filled with wonderful advice such as, "If you want to add some fun and funky style to your tabletop, go shopping!," or yummy burger recipes that replace the bun with a donut you may just think that the writer may have indulged in a tad too much vino. That's ok, there is an entire article dedicated to Swell Swill which will give you some great ideas on what not to accent a meal with.
With each turn of the page Rachell emphasized the hilarity of the phenomenon; all the books, all the shows, all the products, all the endorsements. Can you really do all that in 30 minutes? "Y'know, when I get home and open up the first bottle of vino, it can take me up to an hour to make dinner and that's okay. The bottom line is, you need the right tools - like my, knives, my cookware, my prep cooks..." how true.
Along with not so subtlety pointing out the fact that it is alright that you cannot prepare a perfect, pretty, nutritional meal in 30 minutes or less, this over-the-top publication makes you feel good. A spoof on all those trying to achieve culinary perfection (Yes, I admit I did buy the books, the knives, the cookware...) following the advice of those neither as informed nor as perfect as we may envision. Think about it, does someone else need to tell you to go shopping if you need salt and pepper shakers? We are smarter than that - and that is what, in my opinion, the writer was trying to convey.
Close the book, "Every Freaking! Day with Rachell Ray," and put a smile on your face, remembering this inspirational quote from Rachell's mama: "When life gives you lemons, trade them for some limes and make a margarita."
Best cookbook ever! September 12, 2008 1 out of 1 found this review helpful
This is such a fun read through and through. The attention to detail is what got me - I had no idea I knew so much about 'Rachell.' Elizabeth Hilts leaves no acronym unturned and deftly captures the essence of the RR empire. And the photos are on par with the clever writing - the author could have a second career as a food stylist - though I think Mad Magazine would appreciate her gift more than Bon Appetit! I actually did a double take on the "Brats and Beers" photo.
I just look at the cover of this book and it makes me smile. I open it up and I laugh out loud. I couldn't ask more of anything or anyone.
SO Freaking Funny! September 10, 2008 0 out of 1 found this review helpful
I got this book at the urging of friends. I can't say that I am disappointed at all. Elizabeth Hilts does a bang-on job at poking at RR. The jello "floaters" are ingenious!
Fabulous book! September 10, 2008 1 out of 1 found this review helpful
In a market so saturated with RR-isms and products, it is delightful to find such a hilarious parody! This book is chock-full of great "recipes", ala RR. One of my favorites is the "Beer and Brat Floater". Just take some affordable beer, pour it into a beer mug, and toss in a bratwurst! What could be better?! Another "must try" recipe is the No Bake Chocolate Cake, which includes foam rubber and toothpicks as its chief ingredients. I love the photos of RR in bed with her griller just in case she wants a late night snack.
No matter how you feel about the "real" RR (love, hate, tolerate, RR who?), you will laugh out loud at this book.
Elizabeth Hilts is a genius!
