Instead this book gives inspiring words, peptalks and guidance to get you through the process of making your environment the place you want it to be. Author Jill Butler stresses that our space, our home in whatever form it may be, should be what we want and not what others want for us. Recognizing our wants and needs is part of the process and she gives fun tasks and exercises throughout her book that help identify what most represents you and who you are. The Lightness of Space October 27, 2008
A few weeks ago I mentioned to a friend that I was lacking space in my apartment and that I did not know where to begin to remedy the situation. Much to my delight, I recently received from her a copy of Ms. Butler's new book on this topic and it is a splendid treasure. Every day, I open the author's book at random and proceed accordingly. All to say, I am now an admirer's of her and have gone to her website www.jillButler.com to order "Paintbrush in Paris" which I am sending to an Egyptian Mau, who expressed his interest in learning French. I leave you here as I have just opened Ms. Butler's "Create the Space You Deserve" and have read her excerpt on 'Got to have it'. Very wise. Kudos to Ms. Butler for having come to my rescue!

This book is fun to read and full of helpful insights and ideas - a must "how to" for those seeking to create a soulful and authentic home. Jill Butler takes us on an inspired and illuminating voyage, navigating through a major life transition and arriving joyfully at her very own safe harbor, a colorful cottage of healing and renewal. The beautiful artwork and photos make it easy to follow along.

I've had the pleasure of meeting Jill Butler. She's an inspiration in person and on the pages of this book! I'm currently looking to buy a place for myself and this book came into my life at just the right time. She has helped open my mind to visualize the home I'm about to create. I definitely have a new outlook!
