Product Description Raising children may well be the most terrifying thing any of us will ever do in our lives. From a very early age, our children depend upon us for structure and predictability. Fortunately, gurus like Laura Stack are here to guide us through the dark moments. In this Short, Ms. Stack walks parents through some of the more daunting organizational aspects of child-rearing, covering bed time, getting ready for school, and a time she refers to as ?the witching hour? (no, it's not the sugar-addled hour after trick-or-treating). The benefits of organization to children are many: they feel secure when they know they can depend on an outcome; organization helps them gain self-control; it keeps their stress levels in check; and they develop a sense of confidence and independence. In six sections, Ms. Stack helps us get our children organized and productive by handling transitions, creating order, succeeding in school, organizing keepsakes, completing chores, and managing time. With a little help from you, your children can learn to be organized.

Great tips! June 25, 2007 1 out of 1 found this review helpful
Simple, to the point, with great tips for helping keep your kids organized. She encourages the use of routines for those "witching" hours where the family has a tendency to melt-down. Great, practical ideas.
