Product Description This watch is all titanium, so it has the look of a masculine link watch without all the weight. It has a charcoal dial with three subdials - one for the day, one for the date and one for 24-hour time. It has luminous hands, a second hand, and a deployment clasp. The watch is water resistant to 100 feet and measures 1 1/2 inches across.
Amazon.com Product Description A great match to your contemporary business couture, this Skagen black-plated titanium men's watch features a thin profile that's just 9mm thick (0.35 inches) and feather-light weight. The case and bracelet are made from solid titanium, which is nearly 50 percent lighter than steel, but 30 percent stronger. It's also particularly resistant to salt water corrosion, as well as hypo-allergenic--perfect for those with metal allergies. The black dial face offers three subdials--day of the week, date, and second time zone--as well as super luminous stick markers and hands (with seconds hand), and small minute indexes. Other features include Japanese quartz movement, a scratch-resistant super-hardened mineral crystal, and water resistance to 100 meters (330 feet)--offering protection from accidental splashes as well suitable for swimming, snorkeling, and light recreational diving. About Skagen Named after a fishing hamlet in Denmark on the northern tip of the Jutland peninsula, Skagen Designs was founded by Henrik and Charlotte Jorst in 1991 after the two Copenhagen natives moved to New York City. The company subscribes to the principle that beautifully designed, high-quality objects can be created at reasonable prices. Skagen watches represent the technical excellence, refined design and operational simplicity that have created the unique reputation of Danish design. The fishing village of Skagen--the Skaw--lies where the northern-most tip of the Danish peninsula known as Jutland bends East and breaks the surging waters of the Kattegat and Skagerak seas. The spectacular natural beauty of the area is compellingly beautiful, and its white sandy beaches have been visited by artists for centuries.

I was very happy with the product. It came on time and was in perfect condition. The recipient of the gift loved it and I couldn't be happier!
Beware choose another November 10, 2007 2 out of 2 found this review helpful
Watch looks good when you first get it but within 2 weeks band color was not only coming off but the pins were falling out... I returned it for another skagen watch with the mesh titanium band which I am very happy with... Amazon should drop this item....
Don't be fooled by the lousy picture, this watch is gorgeous November 5, 2007 4 out of 4 found this review helpful
If I were a better photographer, I'd try to take a snapshot that would do this wristwatch at least some approximation of justice -- because the photos (even the close-ups) displayed on the Amazon website (and others I've seen on other web merchants and even at Skagen's own website) don't remotely do it justice.
The picture is slightly blurry, but the watch is anything but that. The hour and minute hands look clumsy or poorly finished in the photo, but on the actual watch they're elegant and precise, as is the sweep second hand. The case and bezel also look at least 200% better -- by which I mean, high-gloss finish and sharply defined smoothly flowing lines, all indicating good design and excellent workmanship. Whether it's actually manufactured in Denmark or just designed there, I suspect the Danes could do far worse than to have this product as a national representative of their trade goods. As far as I'm concerned, this looks as good or better than watches I've seen in jewelry stores that retail for $1000+.
This watch is very light and thin, which, again, adds to its luxury look IMHO. I gather than Skagen makes some models that are half again as thin, but it would take a very close inspection (probably off the wearer's wrist) to tell the difference between this one at 9mm and a thinner one at 5mm.
I'm about to turn 50 and I'm getting pretty nearsighted, but the hands are large and luminous enough even in a darkened room so that I can read them without much trouble even without my specs. The very much smaller day-date-12/24 hands, though, do require me to squint and look above my specs, but as a matter of personal preference, that's a trade-off I'm willing to make in order to maintain a genuine analog functionality and elegance (after years of wearing a Casio digital watch, whose digital and memory functions I've all replaced now with my cellphone), rather than corrupting the purity of the design with a day and/or date window.
Be aware, too, that the titanium band is NOT adjustable short of having a jeweler remove links. I have relatively thin wrists, so I may well have a couple of links taken out on each side. (Presumably you can avoid that by going for the mesh band, but I like the look of the solid links.)
I've never been much of a jewelry fan, but I think I'm going to enjoy the admiring looks I'll get from wearing this watch (as opposed to my old super-geeky Casio).
Cool and Stylish November 1, 2007 1 out of 1 found this review helpful
I was looking for a men's watch that was both cool and stylish. This one fits the bill. Cool and elegant Danish style combined with tough practicality. The person it was purchased for wanted something that was not 'bling' and chunky, that was suitable for work and play, so he couldn't ask for more. It is as light as a feather and doesn't need to shout about being a great watch, it just is. Can't seem to be able to buy it in Britain though!
