Amazon.com Product Description This Stuhrling Eagle men's watch features a large, easy-to-read design that is sure to make an impression. The 44-millimeter, surgical-grade stainless-steel, round case sports an unadorned black dial with green-luminous-tipped, skeletonized obelisk-style white hour and minute hands, and a red sweep seconds hand. Protected by a Krysterna crystal, the face boasts green-luminescence-filled, silver-lined Arabic numerals, with Baton indices at 3, 6, and 9 o'clock, and a triangular marker at 12 o'clock. This simply elegant timepiece also features a brushed stainless-steel, beveled bezel, and a date window at 3 o'clock. This classic chronometer is showcased on a black 22-millimeter, genuine French-leather strap that features padding, double-row stitching, and stainless-steel studs and buckle clasp. As hardy as it is handsome, this analog watch runs on a precise Swiss quartz movement and is water resistant to a depth of 165 feet.

Well... June 23, 2008 1 out of 1 found this review helpful
The watch itself was delivered in perfect condition. The problem that occured is that quartz mechanism stops every day aprox near 10 p.m. - the marker goes one sec forward and one sec backward (and this happens in loop). This is the only SMALL problem of this watch so far...
No battery February 8, 2008 3 out of 5 found this review helpful
The first time that they sent the watch was not having any battery, I sent it back, after a few days a new replacement was sent, WITHOUT BATTERY again, but this time they include the informations for an AUTOMATIC WATCH, for sure this watch was not an automatic. As it was the SECOND TIME!! that they sent the watch with an empty battery, I decide to get it change by myself, the prize for the battery replacement was 12 dolars!! So after all the trouble getting the watch replaced, in the end I needed to solve the problem my myself and on my own expenses. This is the LAST watch that I get from Amazon!!
Beware the warranty! January 25, 2008 2 out of 2 found this review helpful
I love the watch - looks good, easy to read, easy to count seconds (for my job), easy to read in the dark. But beware it is big! I'm a big guy and it looks big on my wrist. The Amazon price I paid (67.99) is fantastic. But... when I unpacked it from it's impressive packaging, I found the tiny plastic thingy that keeps the crown out in the off position to have fallen off, leaving the watch running. So after a week of ownership the watch stopped! According to the paperwork the battery is under warranty. According to the website there are no authorized service centers so I called their service phone number and left a message. To their credit someone called back soon after but told me to take it to any watch store to get the battery checked. The problem ... although the battery is warranted, you have to pay a $20 service charge to return the watch under warranty. So I'd be paying $20 for a $10 battery! I did have the battery checked and replaced locally for $10 and now the watch runs fine. So, beware the warranty!
Oh... and the included instructions were for a mechanical watch, not a quartz!
Wonderful watch, lousy watchband December 28, 2007 4 out of 7 found this review helpful
I bought this watch in August 2007, and I was very pleased with the overall appearance. However, I soon discovered I could not wear the watch every day--the leather watchband acquired a really obnoxious, foul odour after a couple of hours of wear. The leather reacted with the perspiration from my wrist. I usually have metal watchbands, but this watch was so handsome with its black leather and studs that I didn't try to change it. I have discovered there is such a thing as a 'waterproof' wristband that doesn't smell. Stuhrling could have waterproofed their leather watchband, which would have prevented the problem in the first place. I'm rather unhappy about having to shell out money to correct an avoidable problem.
Bad Warantee December 23, 2007 5 out of 8 found this review helpful
Be aware that Stuhrling watches have unfavorable warantee terms. You pay to send it back and have to include $20 for the repair and return shipping, so every time it needs service, you will be out $25 or so. My guess is that this covers the cost of a new movement and shipping so it isn't really a warantee at all.
