 CAN'T BEAT TITANIUM!! May 22, 2008
IT'S NOT TOO LONG & NOT TOO SHORT!! NOT TOO DULL, AND JUST SHARP ENOUGH!!

HE TRIED IT FOR THE TITANIUM WAS WON OVER & WOULDN'T TRADE IT!! I BETTER NEVER LOSE IT!

My favorite letter opener vanished when we last moved house. I tried others but they were plastic and snapped in two and/or didn't work well. When I saw this model, I thought it might be the replacement I was looking for. While the rubbery handle provides a solid grip and the blade itself looks thick and strong, alas, the blade feels like a standard metal letter opener that has been thinly plated for matte texture and (ostensibly) strength. The result is a rather dull blade that pulls at and tears envelopes, rather than slices cleanly through them. My search for the ultimate sharp-yet-safe letter opener continues.

This is the best letter opener I have found so far. A more rounded handle would make it perfect.
