(Brother) BRTML100 Standard Electronic Typewriter January 11, 2008 1 out of 1 found this review helpful
This Brother brand BRTML 100 Standard Electronic Typewriter is very modern and has everything a typewriter needs and more. It does have a cover for protecting the keyboard which I'm glad it has and also an extra daisy wheel typewriter head when the new gets old and there is 3 manuals-1 for English, 1 for Spanish, and another language I can't read. The keys have wonderfully coded. There is everything great in this product to use if a person doesn't have a computer and only wants to use a typewriter. Ann Hjelmeland, Waukon, IA
Junk typewriter, buy something different July 19, 2007 2 out of 2 found this review helpful
I bought this to use for the bar exam and it has been nothing but trouble. The daisy wheel breaks after typing less than 10 pages and the warranty doesn't cover the daisy wheel. Brother's customer service is pretty weak too. I've been observing a bunch of other folks using this or very similar brother typewriters and the problems with the daisy wheel seem pretty consistent. I'm pretty unhappy with this purchase considering I've typed less than 50 pages on this thing and I've had to replace the typing ribbon and the daisy wheel. It's not a good product.
Brother ML-100 typewriter November 4, 2006 1 out of 2 found this review helpful
I do not like it as well as the BrotherSX-23 I had for 10+ years. This one is adequate for what I use it--envelopes and typing checks--things not always convenient to do on the computer.
A GREAT TYPEWRITER!! November 14, 2004 12 out of 12 found this review helpful
I got this typewriter and love it! It works great and has been very reliable. It does all those neat little things a typewriter should and is a great bargain for about $100. The best part? No viruses or software conflicts like that of a PC. Excellent for people who just like to type. By the way (in reference to the review below)...
Beware of used typewriters August 29, 2003 13 out of 26 found this review helpful
I waited 10 days for this to arrive. The first time I plugged it in it ran for 2 minutes. I typed Dear and the machine typed wcm" When I tried to erase wcm" the erase mechanism did not work. I turned the machine off and when I switched it back on the carriage went to the far left and will not move, ie I cannot type or use the machine in any way. When the machine came two of the keys were knocked loose and I had to stick them back on. Now when I look at the machine I can see it is assymetrical...there is a 1/4 gap in the base, so it must have been dropped or damaged somewhere. This is not acceptable but I have no way to contact whoever Mstasad is. I have a huge project to do over the labor day weekend but I don't have a typewriter that works. I feel cheated and am very upset...
