Thumbs Up! August 21, 2008 This is a great product! I ordered it online (got free shipping) and it was at my house in a matter of days. This was a birthday present for my daughter and she absolutely loves it! It was easy to put together and does everything it promises to do. Extra bonus: it came fully charged. No anxiously awaiting the battery to charge. I highly recommend this for any child in the 10+ range even though the age says 12+ My daughter is 10 and can easily navigate it safely. Thanks Razor!
Electric Scooter August 11, 2008 Love the scooter - the battery life is good and was easy to assemble. The only complaint is the scooter arrived with a crack in the plastic molding. We put it together since it was a b-day present and shipping back and waiting would have led to disappointing on a b-day.
Super Razor August 3, 2008 I bought this as a Christmas Gift for my granddaughter last year and it's quickly became her favorite present. Easy to charge, lots of fun to ride and totally cool! Well made, fast shipping and overall awesome scooter!
razor pocket mod miniature electric scooter July 26, 2008 Easy to assemble. Loads of fun, a big hit in the neighborhood as kids and adults stop to see who and what is riding by. My ten year old loves the scooter. The recommended age is 12 and above but, it would be appropriate for 8 years old and above.
Trouble free and fun! July 24, 2008 The Razor Pocket Mod Electric Scooter is safe, fun, dependable and trouble free. After reading several reviews discussing the scooter's unreliable battery life, and difficulty getting information from Razor customer service, I was reluctant to buy it.
We did order this from Amazon and found this to be a perfect gift for our 12 year old granddaughter. It arrived with no damage. It assembled (handlebars and front wheel have to put on) in less than 10 minutes. The battery has always lasted at least 40 minutes the first and every subsequent charge. We timed it with a radar gun at 12-14/mph. There are instructions included that updated battery charging times, and perhaps that's the problem other experienced. The Green light indicating the battery is charged should be ignored. It is not fully charged when that appears. The instructions with the unit say to charge the batteries at least 18 hours (but less than 24 hrs) before the first use. All other charging should be for 12 hours minimum (not more than 24 hrs).
Riders weight slightly affect the battery life by a few minutes. (A 110 pound boy wore the battery down faster than a 75 pound rider.)
