Swingyde June 29, 2008 I found the Swingyde to be an effective training aid, especially as it pertains to the swing plane and the follow-through. I used it with a six-iron and enjoyed hitting balls with it. But changing the Swingyde to another club was a bit cumbersome. I did not care to use the Swingyde with the rubberband as I found it a bit too confining and snug. My rating is due to the two negatives I have stated, eventhough I feel that it is effective and helpful in reinforcing the swing plane and encouraging a good follow-through.
The Swingyde is great! April 21, 2008 1 out of 1 found this review helpful
I purchased the Swingyde to help me with the wrist hinge in my golf swing. I wasn't sure I was doing it correctly and wanted some instant feedback. The device is wonderful. I use it to practice and in my warm up before a round. My iron striking has improved dramatically.
Awsume swing trainer March 1, 2008 This was recomended to me by a golf pro. He is right. It has helped me control my wrists and now I know exactly where they should be during the complete swing. I am hitting the ball much longer. It is good for both left and right handers. They could come up with a better way of connecting it to the club.
The cheapest alternative to a PGA pro watching your swing October 18, 2007 1 out of 1 found this review helpful
The swingyde is a plastic tool that attaches to your grip on every club in your bag. There are even configurations to help with putting and even ways to that allow you to use two at the same time for wedge shots. For $29.95, it's money well spent. I used this in my initial trials at playing and learning golf - but I found that it's good maintenance when your swing starts losing its mark. This fits easily in your bag for practice sessions. The only other useful training aid that does this is the Momentus travel iron.
Momentus Swing Trainers - Signature Tour Iron
This comes with two instruction guides and a 13 minute DVD hosted by Jim Flick.
This is a simple tool to help you know you're right on track with your golf swing. Immediate feedback is what this is all about. You know how your backswing and follow through should feel.
If you find the Medicus or Refiner iron too expensive, this is the alternative to help your swing plane get back on track.
Medicus Junior's Dual Hinged 5 Iron Medicus Men's Dual Hinged 7 Iron ReFiner Pro Hinged 5 Iron, Right Handed Mens
It won't solve all of your problems but it's a good start.
Great Training Aid September 14, 2007 2 out of 2 found this review helpful
The Swingyde is the best golf training aid I've ever used. It provides instant feedback on both your backswing and followthrough. Not only did it help me fix my slice, but I now use it before every round as part of my warm-up routine to ensure that I haven't fallen back into bad habits.
