Cheap, Fast & in Control July 6, 2008 I bought four of these, one for each family member to use with our new LG ENV2 phones. They all work perfectly and are extremely convenient for creating content in iTunes & Quicktime for custom ringtones, music and videos.
Wouldn't read my SD cards June 3, 2008 2 out of 2 found this review helpful
For some reason, each time I insert either of my 2 SD cards in this reader, a notice appears on my computer screen stating that the card needs to be formatted before it can be used. Since one of them is filled with my photos, I obviously am not going to format it and delete them so I am unable to use this reader with it. The other card--a Sandisk 2.0--is blank, but when I try to format it, I get another on-screen notice stating that Windows XP is unable to complete the formatting. Using a card reader which came free with the Sandisk card (purchased from another vendor,) the "need to format" pop up does not appear and I have no trouble reading from and writing to either of the 2 cards. I have no idea why this is happening, but this reader is useless to me and I will be returning it for a refund.
Simple and effective May 26, 2008 1 out of 1 found this review helpful
This small USB device reads the SD cards from my cameras in a flash -- Windows shows the files & folders almost the instant the card is inserted. It's tiny and lightweight, roughly the size of a USB Thumb Drive.
Simple and to-the-point, this reader does exactly what it's supposed to. My only issue will be keeping track of the end caps & not losing them.
