I thought the reading on the left was Centigrades, but it is an unknown variable, I haven't been able to find out what it is.

This lovely old fashioned thermometer was just what I was looking for to suit my 100+ year old house. Quality components and classic design. This is easy to read from inside the kitchen window and the customer service has been excellent.
