The Galileo thermometer is an interesting talking point in a school office and an opportunity for teaching chemistry. It arrived packed well and unbroken, although a place to display it must be chosen carefully because it is very fragile.

The galileo thermometer is pretty accurate and makes a beautiful piece in the living room. I have it on the fireplace mantle and you can see the color from across the room and tell the temperature. Wanted an art piece that had a second purpose, would recommend. I've given this as a gift and its been enjoyed by the recipient.
