Nice - but NARROW April 25, 2008 2 out of 2 found this review helpful
As others have said, this may be a nice cot, but I don't see how they can call it "oversized" because it is very, let me emphasize, VERY, narrow. Perhaps if you are very slender this might be okay, but a normal sized person, nah. It is well made, however, I'll give it that! :0P
Needs extra cushioning, but otherwise great February 23, 2008 7 out of 7 found this review helpful
A few years ago, I decided to downsize from a queen bed, then to a twin bed, and finally, to this Coleman cot. I was also considering a futon, but didn't want the bulk, because my goal was to own furniture that I could carry on my own.
This cot is a featherweight at just 23 lbs., and there's even a shoulder strap for easy transport. If you're a "normal-sized" person, this cot is comfortable to sleep on. It also helps if you're a stationary sleeper. I added an extra cushion for more comfort (thickness is better, and otherwise, it slopes in the middle).
This cot makes for a great guest bed, since it takes only a couple of minutes to set up, and when it's not in use, you just fold it in half and stash it in a closet or in the garage (covered). I use my cot daily as a bed, so I have it dressed in bedding, complete w/ a dust ruffle (I basted mine to create the right width...tape didn't stay), and it resembles a chaise lounge. The cot stand is also at the perfect height, where you can store tons of stuff underneath, if you decide to use yours as a daily bed. I also love that the air circulation is great underneath the cot, because I always hated that about my bed and boxspring...it was SO hot in the summer, w/ all that heat trapped inside the boxspring.
If you have a small room, or if you're semi-nomadic, this cot is a great choice for you. You can even use it as a day bed. If you're moving, you can stick it in the cabin or trunk of pretty much any car.
It's very durable and lightweight, and should be great to use for years to come...all you'd need to replace is the cushion, which you can obtain for about $30.
Comfortable and manageable September 23, 2007 5 out of 5 found this review helpful
I used this foldaway cot as an extra bed while I had guests at my house. I was happy that the cot was not cumbersome to open, close, or store--one person can handle it just fine. I slept in it for one week and found it to be very comfortable (though it may be too narrow for some people).
IT'S COT ENOUGH June 26, 2007 5 out of 5 found this review helpful
I was looking for something to replace my airbed and found this to be just enough. Actually more portable than the airbed. I tended to sweat on the airbed. The cot is narrower, but fine for me. I can prepare it to sleep as I wish, with a sheet comfort or whatever. Also like the fact that I can take it anywhere and is lightweight. My little dog jumped on it before I did! She's pleanty satisfied with sleeping under it. THANKS
